I usually love going here, but am pretty disappointed with my experience yesterday. I went in with my friend who was looking for two specific authors. My friend asked the employee, a younger girl with brown hair and glasses, which section of the store she could find these authors. The employee rudely responded with “I don’t know you’ll have to look”. She did not even remotely attempt to help my friend and it was a very uncomfortable interaction to witness. One of these authors was R.L. Stine - really? I understand that you wouldn’t know if you had a specific book, but you should at least be able to point a customer in the direction of a famous author like that. There wasn’t any effort to help her try to find it, and we were the only customers in the store. Regardless, she didn’t need to respond in such a callous way. I brought what was probably five or six boxes of books, some were first editions, some were passed down to me, some were brand new never opened, to be sold there. They told me they had to sort through the books and they'd contact me for my payment or my store credit (whichever I choose). Weeks went by, I called them and they didn't know what I was talking about, they couldn't find "my information" among their database, and told me they'd call back when the lady could talk to the owner. Never got a call. Now months went by. I tried them several times, no recollection of my HUNDREDS of books rare and popular, new and old, classic and contemporary. I was so mad. I absolutely love this place. It has gotten much neater. They have so many books to choose from. I could spend hours in there looking at books. The prices are a little high depending on what you are looking for but honestly not bad at all. The only negative for me personally is how small their poetry section is but other than that, I absolutely love this place. Its a wonderful and peaceful place to go and look for books and even sit and read for a bit....
