I had the worst dining experience ever! Before our visit, I called the restaurant to reserve a table for 10 people, and they assured me they could accommodate us. We had 3 kids and 7 adults in our group.
After we placed our order, I asked the waiter if the portions would be enough for everyone. He confidently said we could always order more if needed, so I felt reassured. However, after waiting about 30 minutes for our food, we were shocked to find out that the restaurant didn’t have any plates! They expected us to eat straight from the takeout boxes. Seriously?
I had guests with me, and it was embarrassing to eat that way. Plus, the $43 mixed platter they served was not enough for one person! It consisted of only two lamb chops and two kebabs on a little bed of rice. It’s hard to believe they call that a platter. The owner needs to experience a proper meal somewhere else to understand what a real platter should be.
To make matters worse, the place had a strange smell, which made it uncomfortable. We ended up paying the bill without even touching the food. The person I spoke to on the phone should have mentioned that they don't provide plates and utensils.
I will never return to this restaurant and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The prices are way too high for such poor service and a lack of understanding of how to run a dining establishment. If you want to enjoy a nice meal, stay away from this place and find...
Read moreComing from NYC most New Yorkers are use to having a variety of dishes from an array of multi-cultural restaurants - other than fast food services.
So there I was, searching, at close to midnight for a distinguished dining experience. Went to the east side, west side, north side, then the south. Everywhere were Wendy’s, McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, and a slew of closed Chinese restaurants (not everyone wants processed foods) and open bars/lounges.
Anyway, as I was giving up - because I really shouldn’t be eating that late anyway, I suddenly passed Arian’s Mediterranean Kebab & Grill on Monroe Avenue.
I immediately made a U-Turn and stopped in. Place was clean, quiet, and I was greeted with kindness. Customer service was excellent and the turnaround time for my two dishes were good. No long waits.
I ordered the Chicken Gyro and the Chicken Burger! Both were well prepared, seasoned, flavorful, still warm when I got home, and well put together!
Think I’ll try the onion rings too, next time! Adding photos next time!!! 🥘
I would definitely come back and recommend Arian’s Mediterranean Kebab & Grill to anyone looking for distinctive dishes prepared for distinguished customers. It’s primarily a new restaurant and I am wishing it success!!

Read moreBefore arriving, I tried to call in to order my food, but the phone was off the hook .For ordering your food, we had to wait a little bit due to them, making food in the kitchen But when ordering food, the owner was very nice even though I didn’t get a receipt. We were took the food will be done in 20 minutes, but it took longer than 20 minutes. Sitting at the table waiting, there was meat crumbs on the table and just crumbs and sticky stuff in general on the table. Also was someone’s empty straw wrappers lying on the seat. But I will say the food well was worth the wait. The Gyro was pretty big and flavorful. I would just recommend if you like sauce to tell them that had extra sauce on the Gyro. The Greek fries are to die for the very good and flavorful. Also, they’re just very greasy the portions that you get is pretty good. For a Gyro, Greek fries, lamb & beef platter was all for $40. I will say that I was misled with the prices because the prices are different from online. They’re actually more higher than what I had intended to go in and pay. I ended up paying more so I think It would be best if the owners update the website menu so it’s not misleading to others. But other than that, I would recommend the food for people to try....
