If you're a cheesecake aficionado seeking a slice of heaven in Rochester, New York, look no further than Cheesy Eddies. Nestled in the heart of the city, this delightful bakery promises a culinary journey that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving for more.
My recent visit to Cheesy Eddies was nothing short of magical, thanks to their unparalleled creation: the Blu-Ras Swirl Cheesecake. With its velvety texture, rich flavor, and a perfect balance of sweetness, this cheesecake transcended all expectations. Each bite was a symphony of blueberry and raspberry notes, harmoniously blended into a creamy delight that left me longing for another slice.
In addition to the mesmerizing Blu-Ras Swirl, we indulged in two large Jack's Cookie Sandwiches, each crafted with finesse and overflowing with decadence. One was filled with luscious cream cheese, while the other boasted a delectable peanut butter cream cheese filling. Both sandwiches were a testament to Cheesy Eddies' commitment to quality and innovation, showcasing their ability to elevate classic treats with a cheesy twist.
Beyond the divine desserts, what truly sets Cheesy Eddies apart is their exceptional staff. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff members were not only knowledgeable about their offerings but also went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of perfect. Their genuine enthusiasm and willingness to assist added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit.

Read moreCheesy Eddie's is still literally one of my daughter's and my, favorite bakeries in Rochester, and although, they no longer make my beloved Russian Tea Cookies 😭 there is still so much more delicious selections to try, IMO. I still love the Peanut Butter Blossoms, and I recently tried a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting 😋 of course it was delicious! 🩷💯
I wasn't with my daughter today when she visited this location but for the first time, she was disappointed(not with the food of course) with the service. She was in line already with my 2 little grandchildren and was supposed to be next in line, but when the lady asked "Who's next?" she only looked at the 2 ppl(who came in after everyone that was already in line)and waited on them even though my daughter did say to her that she was next but the lady ignored her. From what I was told, the couple were those snobbish types who think only their patronage is important? Everyone's money and business should be considered important, IMO. When an employee acts like that, it can make a customer feel as if they're not good enough or that employee only wants to wait on a certain race or "class?" This incident won't stop us from shopping there unless it continues to happen? It also made her feel like they were all quiet afterwards(yet nobody made the situation right) and letting her look as if she was just another minority being ignorant, when it wasn't my daughter who behaved that way? I have no problem with telling her if she's wrong about something, but cutting ppl in line just makes u feel....again, as if ur time is not as valuable and for the ppl who do it, they need to learn what having manners and common sense...
Read moreIf I could give Cheesy Eddies ten stars I would. We have had a long run with Cheesy Eddie's since friends selected their carrot cake as their WEDDING cake 38 years ago. Before that, I'd never thought they did anything but cheesecake (which is awesome too). There is no carrot cake ON THIS EARTH that tastes as good as Cheesy Eddies. So much so that 2 of my 4 children pick that cake for their birthday every year (and now their spouses!), while the other 2 lean towards the cheesecake (but only because birthdays are close together and they don't want to ruin the specialness of the carrot cake). We choose their carrot cake for other special occasions as well... Easter, Mother's Day, etc. But yesterday morning nearly took my breath away. I had forgotten to call and order 36 cupcakes for a special event I was hosting at my home needed THAT NIGHT. No problem. They told me they'd have them ready in an hour. (WHAT?!?!) I figured these may have been hanging out in the freezer and the taste might be compromised but was willing to take the chance. I spoke with Sarah, who was polite, helpful, and absolutely WONDERFUL about this. AND THE CUPCAKES WERE DELICIOUS... better than ever. On a sultry June day, my husband bet these would not be consumed and favored an ice cream dessert. But the mixture of the variety of cupcakes on a three-tiered stand looked appealing, so much so that these were gobbled up. Every. One. Of. Them. I am sorry I didn't take a picture. I owe my sincerest gratitude to Sarah and everyone at Cheesy Eddies. You are all...
