There are so many five-star reviews on here I had to check it out. But my wife and I each grab a tall boy of some local craft, and the guy at the register proceeds to pour it way too hard into a glass causing maybe a third of it to overflow onto the counter. He apologized and I didn't make a big stink because everybody does this once in a while, no big deal. Then he takes the other one and does the exact same thing, again causing a bunch of it to overflow onto the counter. These beers are probably $7 each or more, which I don't mind paying for quality but it kind of irks me when a bunch of it just winds up on the counter and a bunch more is just turned into foam head due to a bad pour. We asked for one order of soft pretzels, which never came even though we were charged for it. Nice atmosphere and good beer selection, but when all you get is two drinks and one food item and both drinks are messed up and the food item never comes, I can't really give a...
Read moreLove this place. Always great and friendly staff. Great tap selection rotating. Also, great selection of bottles and cans to enjoy there or to go. Love that they’ve joined Beer Pass. Been twice since, and probably will become one of our go to places. Plus, it got us to try their beer (pick from their beer or a discount beer in fridge with Beer Pass), which is a delicious crusher beer. Also, you get $2 off to go products with beer pass, which is awesome.
Parking can be a bit rough here. On street, so may have to park and walk a bit if you don’t want to pay for parking garage. Saturdays and Sunday during the day we have been able to find close on street parking. I’d imagine at night it may be a bit tougher.
Also, this is by Strong Museum of Play, so expect parents here with screaming kids. At least on the weekends. We have been on Weeknights in the past, and it was more of...
Read moreNeat place with an ok beer selection. I am actually pretty particular about beers, but for the more general beer drinking population this seems like it should be a pretty successful idea. If you're in to heavier stouts, barleyewines, or lambics & other mixed fermentation styles, it's a bit underwhelming. I had hoped for a broader and more robust selection, more NY options (no plan bee, suarez?, Pantomime, etc). The 8 tap lines also feel like the bare minimum, hopefully they'll add more over time.
Ultimately, for me, the food options are also too limited to be a draw when the beer selection isn't enough. Again, I think it'll be successful with most people but I was hoping for more for the...
