Stopped after the 2023 St. Patricks parade with friends from the area. Super cool little place with a great selection of beers to try. We had flights, pints, and great conversations hanging out at Iron Tug. Staff was excellent and attentive. Good crowd from parade traffic, but still comfortable and could hear each other talk. While touring breweries in the area, definitely add this stop.

Nice place, dog friendly, good service and lots of creative seating. We didn’t know this brand (we aren’t local) until we had it at a nearby restaurant. We saw the brewery and knew we needed to see what else they had. The fruity flight was great and will definitely be the beer we compare future beers we try against. ā€œRemember that crazy good pineapple one from Rochester?!?ā€

If you want excellent beer this is the place to go. Not a ton of choices but they do it right. The names describe what the beers are and they don't miss the mark on the flavors. You can taste the cherry in the cherry chocolate stout and the pineapple upside down cake sour tastes like you are eating it!! They don't serve food but this place is worth a visit.

"Small brewery with a large focus on great tasting beers. If you are a fan of NE IPS's they have 4 on tap of their own creation as well as several other styles, stouts, lagers and such. Worth a stop, better than most other breweries in the area." Original review.

I have to adjust my review and rating. Was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, now only ⭐. I like to organize pop up brew tours and gatherings with my friends and added iron tug to the list. We were met with an upset owner when we , a group of 20, came into the brewery for beers. The owner was upset and concerned about the large party. The brewery was empty and had only another customer inside, with ample outdoor seating in the rear and front patios. Part of our party we're offended and left, so we as a whole went to the Half Pint Pub next door and they, a smaller establishment were able to take our business and provided great service.

Swiftwater, Strange Bird, Roc Brewing, Three Heads and Sagers Beer Works we're all very accommodating and we're happy to have our buisness. Sagers even gave us some free beer tokens for making the trip to their brewery.

I will not be adding iron tug to our list of breweries for...

Really love Iron Tug’s beers have enjoyed them at bars around Rochester, and bought a mixed 4 pack when Reed White, and brew had an Iron Tug tasting. This place though kind of turned us off. Went in tonight, and it was busy. We were in what we thought was a line waiting for about 10 minutes. Lots of people were ordering flights and only 1 worker on a Friday night. I don’t mind waiting, but as we were waiting 2 rude people went up to one of the bar stools and asked the bar tender to get them a drink while he was making other people’s flights. He took their order over telling them ā€œthose people have been waiting in line and I have to get to themā€. That is a huge turn off as a patron. If you’re going to roll with one bar tender on a Friday night there should really be a dedicated line system or the bartender really should let people who just try to order a drink know they need to wait for people who have been waiting 10 minutes. We left, went to Half Pint next door which was super busy, and got our order...

New Location: Pils 5.5abv excellent, nice hop nose and back end with slight bitter 16oz (nothing bad at all) ; (Hazy) Pale Ale very good, fruit fwd and on the neck with decent bitter 14oz (too full flavored to honestly call a Pale and I don't like the reduced serving size) ; some outdoor seating , no dedicated parking , no TV , good music , no WiFi , serving sizes prices ABV's clearly listed , (upgrade from last time beer is certainly better now) (2018) - JA-Pale Ale 6.2abv good overly bitter no floral 16oz ; O-IPA 7.2 pretty good nice floral and lower bitter [taster] ; DHD/G NE IPA 6.2abv good some floral low bitter may be better on the first day 16oz. back parking can be hard to use, no outdoor seating, odd business hours, two kegs blew while we were there w/o backup, free popcorn, a 'work...
