I'm hoping that it was an off night because I really want to like this place, but we had a pretty awful experience. It is loud, but we got over it. A couple of the draft beers we ordered were not cold yet, and we got over it.
Our main concerns was the service. We got there around 6:20 on a Wednesday. It was busy, but we were seated and got our first round of drinks pretty quickly. After that though, things got worse and worse. We ordered wings ($18 for 10) as an app and some burgers for dinner. We didn't receive the wings until literally an hour later. We had to ask for an update, and when our server went to the kitchen, the wings were magically waiting for her. Now, I can get over $18 orders of 10 wings too, but we ordered the honey sriracha flavor and they were barely sauced and lacking flavor all around. Disappointing to say the least.
Now, we've been at our table for about 90 minutes and only had those wings and a couple drinks that we had to flag the server down to get. Not once did anyone come over to apologize or offer any reason why it takes this long to serve wings and four burgers. Not once did anyone ask if we needed more water.
After flagging down our server for the 5th time, we then get an excuse. Apparently the establishment next door has wing night on Wednesdays and their kitchen handles the wings. The two people they had in the kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders, so everything came to a grinding halt. Some apologies ensued by the server. She was trying her best, it wasn't her fault the food was taking so long, but she did not help herself by at least checking in on her increasingly frustrated tables of customers. They finally tell us, due to the poor service, that they going to give us "the friends and family" discount, which we found out was 15%.
We finally get our food when we were extremely close to just paying for our drinks and wings and leaving. The burgers were good. I was pleased with that if nothing else. The fries and onion rings though? Not so much. After all of the waiting and apologies, they still got my order wrong. Not a huge deal, but it was the straw the broke the camel's back for me.
We get our bill. It is $144 AFTER the 15% discount. I flag down the server and suggest they remove the last round of drinks for our troubles, she talks to her manager, and they gave us a round for free, bringing our total down to about $115. I really wanted a milkshake too because they look so amazing, but they weren't getting another cent or minute from us that night.
Hopefully they work out the kinks, or are a little more transparent about wait times when seating people when they are tending to other events. I still want to try one of their $15 milkshakes, but...
Read moreToday we were thinking about a burger and my wife suggested this place. So off we go. The menu consists of drinks, burgers, milkshakes and ice cream.
First we ordered a beer and scanned the menu from the QR code on the table. I don’t need my burgers to be fancy but I do like beef so I ordered a Moo burger which is essentially a Big Mac but with smash patties. I asked for an extra patty to double the meat. My wife ordered the fried pickle burger. My wife got the fries and I ordered onion rings.
For an appetizer we ordered the extra large mozzarella sticks that they must make in house.
The mozzarella sticks were good. You can tell they make them and they were large. The sauce was cold. I think it would have been better to be warm. Otherwise not a bad start.
The burgers came out. The burgers were good, the beef had good flavor, they were not too greasy, and the rolls were fresh. I enjoyed the taste and quality of the burger.
The sides…. Onion rings were beer battered and I like them crispy. That’s a personal preference so they were just ok. The fries…. I guess you could say shoe string type. They were not seasoned and they were not crisp. These were a fail as far as fries go.
Overall I enjoyed the burger it was very good. The sides were blah one due to personal preference and one due to likely everyone’s preference.
Oh and the Mafia Babes drink…. I thought why not give a shout out to the Bills and try it. All I can say is it tasted like a watered down box wine. If you like red wine maybe that’s cool. I expected something very different and can not recommend this drink based on my expectations and personal taste.
It’s worth a shot for date night,...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible. One of my new favorite spots in the city. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. Food was fantastic We had wings burgers fries onion rings and milkshakes. Burgers and and wings were fantastic. The s'mores milkshake was great but def more presentation than taste but the banana cream pie shake was wonderful. Fries were dry and overdone . Price for everything Ran us about 110 plus tip.
UPDATE / SECOND VISIT: tried the sweet heat burger. The hot honey and fresh jalapenos were great the jalapeno ranch dressing appeared to be missing from my burger and I think they have me regular American cheese and not the pepper jack I'm not sure why those things were missing but I was too hungry to care. Fry's were a thousand times better than last time perfectly cooked and creamy garlic perm sauce was on point. Tried the Cookie monster milkshake and it was my favorite by far. We also got the cookies and cream milkshake and the milkshake was average for a cookies and cream but the addition of the Sunday crunch bars nice. The giant mozzarella sticks are not that big and you only get two of them for 10 bucks. I've had larger mozzarella sticks at other local spots advertising giant mozzarella sticks and it's four instead of 2. Second trip was $84 + tip
After two trips I'd say some stuff can be hit and miss. When it's good it's great when it's off its mediocre for the price. You can tell while the service is nice they are still getting the hang of stuff in the first few months. It's a good spot as long as they're...
