Northern Nola — Restaurant in City of Rochester

I was in town for work and went to Northern Nola for lunch. My coworker and I had the seafood gumbo and it was sooo good. I went back the next day for breakfast and had grits, eggs and sausage. The grits were well seasoned and my eggs were cooked just like I like them. I told the owner how much I enjoyed the gumbo and she said she can ship some to me! That made my day. The staff is so warm and friendly. They definitely bring that New Orleans charm to Rochester. I’m not in Rochester often but I will definitely go back next...

I have tried several dishes. I had the jambalaya which has a very nice taste with plenty of meat. The cat fish was cooked to perfection. I don’t really eat a lot of seafood but the seafood lasagna was excellent, (I’ve ordered that twice). The red beans and rice are straight out of New Orleans. As for the desserts the strawberry shortcake, sweet potato pie and the peach cobbler are all spectacular❤️ Trust me, you will not be disappointed, and you will definitely come back for more. Finally got a chance to check this place out after months of failed attempts...it was absolutely worth the wait. I had the seafood gumbo, white chicken chili and peach cobbler and it was delicious! Also had the best cornbread ever! Definitely worth the visit, prices equal portion and the owners are mad cool and personable. Even considering having them cater an event for an upcoming meeting.
