I was so happy to see that Orange Glory was open today! This place is truly one of the best restaurants in the East End neighborhood.
It's a small space. The bright, orange interior and the colorful decor keep it from feeling cramped. There are 5 - 6 tables and a couple of mini banquettes available for seating. A small area is roped off during the warmer months where you can dine Al Fresco if you so choose.
The food here is excellent. They have a variety of sandwiches available that are made with locally sourced, organic ingredients for all tastes vegan and carnivorous. A number of sides are available which rotate daily. Homemade cookies are made fresh daily.
Today I had the Chicken Cutlet Club made with a hefty piece that didn't feel like a cutlet - AT ALL. It was fried in a light egg batter and included bacon, roaster red peps, arugala, and a smoky, sriracha aioli topped by a brioche bun - warmed by a panini press. This dish was truly satisfying and oh so good! I opted for the lunch box which includes a side and a cookie. I chose the Sesame Noodles made with sweet bell peppers, celery, shaved carrots and ground white pepper. It's dryer than what you normally get from traditional fast food Asian establishments - and that's for the better! A nice complement to the sandwich. A Cranberry Oatmeal cookie rounded out my amazing meal.
Drinks include Nantucket Nectars, Honest Teas, Coke products in cans and water.
The staff here is great. They'll explain every sandwich in detail, even when it's busy which is almost all the the time. They look like they really love what they do and it shows!
You can't go wrong with this place! They're consistently great at any time of the year and it is, without question, one of the best restaurants...
Read moreThe funny thing about words is that they are the true rulers of our existence. Everywhere we go, we are affected by words—we eat them, we smell them, we are them. We rid ourselves of them; they rub onto us from other people, leaving invisible marks on our souls. At Orange Glory, you immediately walk into pride, excellence, careful consideration. The space itself speaks before you taste a single bite. Here, words have been chosen with reverence: fresh, natural, intentional. They hang in the air like promises kept. This is not merely a café—it is an escape hatch from the ordinary world into something softer, truer. My little piece of heaven has come to earth at 480 E Main Street. Between the soups and salads, the thoughtful vegetarian offerings, the daily specials that change like poetry rewritten each morning, you find yourself in a world that breathes differently. The food doesn't just nourish—it translates. Each sandwich is a sentence. Each ingredient, a carefully selected syllable. You taste the pride in every bite, the glory in every flavor combination. This is what happens when people understand that we consume more than food—we consume atmosphere, intention, care. Orange Glory is where I remember that beauty still exists, that someone still believes in doing things right, that heaven isn't always distant. Sometimes it's open Tuesday through Friday, 11-3, waiting to remind you what it feels like to be fed in every sense...
Read moreWow, the new Orange glory location is huge, cool, and happening! So glad the new location (480 E. Main) worked out this way for the hardest working owner /host /chef/caterer / in the business. Jackie has always gone above and beyond to ensure the customers satisfaction with the entire experience of the O.G. The food is homemade, fresh and always top notch. Service exceptional. Orange Glory now has excellent local Fuego Coffee and WiFi. The restaurant can accommodate a ton more people now than the old Little Theatre location..O.G. had to relocate when the Little decided to remodel and looks like the move was a blessing in disguise. O.K. I'll have the tuna melt with sesame noodles and one of them there Fuego coffee's...
