I decided to try Muay Thai kind of impulsively, and I had a great experience at this gym. At first, I was really intimidated because I am out of shape and kind of a shy person, but Coach Christian is so welcoming and truly made me feel like I belonged there right away. He and James were very encouraging about taking things slow and learning slowly. If you go here, you will not feel embarrassed by being a beginner. I also felt very safe, as a woman, at this gym - Coach Christian seems to have very strong values, and he teaches and runs the gym in a way that spreads those values to the students. FANTASTIC!!! Christian is a relaxed, patient and welcoming trainer. His training style is exactly what I need. As a 1st timer at his gym, he partnered with me reinforcing stance and technique while still individualizing instruction with every other other student. I didn’t once stand around feeling clueless and uncomfortable (which is common occurrence at other gyms). I was thoroughly impressed with the 1st hour pace of teacher led warm up into the 2nd hour of execution of routines/practice.
