This is a really fun place. I ordered a coffee and a donut. Both of which are fantastic. I don't know where the coffee comes from, but the donuts come from Misfit Donuts (look them up on Monroe Ave.. they are delicious and I'll let you find the one thing that makes them unique!). I know they do serve Deathwish coffee there, but I that's not what I got (the Tom & Cherry which is chocolate and cherry). I also tried the snickerdoodle flavor which was great. They had a Nintendo there (with all of the games on it already.. so maybe a Nintendo emulator?). The toys and cereal selection is vast. When you walk in there are 3-4 tables on the left and new comic books on the right. Above the comics are 3 TVs playing nerdy, comic book gold. Toys are everywhere. Everywhere. The bar is towards the back with a lot of room if you want to sit, drink coffee, be on your laptop, or anything (WiFi is free). There is a fridge full of energy drinks (including Surge!) And they're selling Misfit Donuts right where you pay. Across from the register is a nice little nook that's away from everything and secluded. In the nook is two booths and one table where you can sit and talk with people. In that room are graphic novels (for sale or just to read), toys, and the Nintendo Emulator (which I can confirm has Donkey Kong & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Overall it's going to be successful. It's definitely somewhere I will be going to regularly.

If I had any suggestions: I think having some nights where you may stay open later for special occasions. For instance, The Playhouse Swillburger on Sunday nights plays Game of Thrones. That's for people drinking and not the crowd that is going to Pop Roc. No other place in the Rochester area is doing that for nerds like us. I'd love to see something like that. Or on a big night like right before a midnight release of The Avengers. I think that would be really fun. Also, I think more graphic novels would be cool.

Basically things to do that will keep people there for a good...

Honestly, I feel bad leaving a 1 star on any business, but I would like others to be aware and not waste their time or experience the same disappointment that I did. Hopefully the owners will take this information constructively. First I'll start with the good- it's a fun concept and the decor is cute. That's about it for good unfortunately. Walking in there were many empty tables that hadn't been bussed, and it looked dirty. We waited maybe 10min to get seated, even though there were only a few people actually seated, which was the first red flag, we should have walked out at that point. It was clear the staff was overwhelmed and confused despite not being that busy. Again we waited maybe another 10-15min for the server to come back and take our drink order, which when it came wasn't right. Then the food. We waited over 45min for our food to arrive despite only 3 other tables. When looking around the other tables looked upset. All of the staff remained in the kitchen for some reason. When we did receive our food it was terrible, and clearly just microwaved frozen food. The bread on the breakfast Sandwich was stale the bacon "flight" was three pieces over soggy over cooked bacon that tasted the same and the French toast was clearly just store bought frozen and microwaved. No one came to ask how our food was, no one came to ask if we'd like a drink refill. Nothing. After being there for 1.5 hrs in total wait time, we went to the bar to just ask to pay and leave without eating the food, because at this point we just wanted to leave. Hopefully, the staff take the review constructively. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone or go back unless there were...

I had an awful experience coming here. My significant other and I were super impressed by the decor and how the place was set up, and then that was quickly ruined. When we walked in the person who we later recognized as the chef was sitting down playing games for a good 10 minutes or so. However we sat down, while it was NOT packed and a woman with greenish hair came up fixed our table up with menus and said she would come for our drink order. She did not, instead another server came 10-15 minutes later and asked if we got our drink order. We ordered our drinks and food. The drinks were great and came out pretty quickly. Unfortunately we waited over an hour for our food, and during that time the place got packed. We started to notice other people getting their food before us despite getting there significantly after us. When we finally got our food it was wrong and incomplete. When we told them we were waiting for a while, a man with curly hair and a hat who was behind the “bar” area didn’t apologize, he walked away as if to say he had better things to do. It was super rude. I went up to the bar to return the wrong food, they talked about how the kitchen is messed up etc in front of me and that there was not my order in the system. Soon thereafter we told our waitress, a really nice blonde woman Everutjing and she tried to help us out. We no longer wanted to eat there, we packed our food and left. We wanted to come back and buy comic books etc, but after this experience I cannot see myself going back...

The food was so so good. Had the shrimp with grits, and the chicken with french toast. these were so savory and delicious, after one bite we already decided to come back and try more things from the menu. This is a pop culture cafe/restaurant so there are board games, comics, and even a game system to play while there. The menu items are creative and the names had us laughing. The music playlist was so on point, we got to listen to Whitney, Powerline (yes from goofy movie), rihanna, and plenty in between. yes you can bring kids but there are things that you wouldn't want your smallest kids trying to pay with (boxed display characters) but if you want to give a nice sugar rush as a surprise or special day then go for it! there's plenty of sweet sugary menu options for the child/college student/sugar feind and the savory options do not disappoint.

Great place boasting an amazing atmosphere. And their menu is chalk full of sweet cereals and sugary goodness! Their mocktails are fun, and they have kiddie versions with no caffeine. Another plus is they have very reasonable prices! They have tall tables w/ stools, normal tables with chairs, and some booths/ benches. Plenty of comics to look at, wall art to admire, and video game systems with a large TV. The 2 bathrooms were very clean. This place is definitely *Family Friendly* My daughter was ecstatic at the cereal choices, the colorful drinks, and that there were toys she could touch! Awesome place! 👍👍 Definitely recommend!!
