Read moreA great spot in downtown Rochester! My partner and I visited weekly (he was a volunteer) while we were living nearby, and since moving away we try to visit whenever we’re in the area. We loved meeting all the new cats and kittens passing through as the cafe continued to adopt them out. There are a few resident cats, but all the others are adoptable either through them or area rescues. We actually adopted our two cats from here!
Their cat lounge is bigger than most other cat cafes I’ve been to, so you have space to spread out from other guests. It’s recommended that you make reservations because they can get busy. They’re flexible and want to make sure you get your full time, so even if you’re a few minutes late you’ll still get the 30/60 minutes you paid for. Admission is a very fair price and the money goes towards the care of the cats. The owners are really nice and genuinely care about all of the cats, so there’s a set of rules to follow while you’re visiting to keep everyone safe. They also have drinks and treats, merch, and other items from local businesses (keychains, art, soap, etc) to purchase. They also run events like movie nights and cat yoga, which can all be found on their website or Instagram. With everything they offer, there’s really something for every...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had went here last year, and we paid for the hour visit.
We both got a coffee drink, and hung out with the cats during that time. The cats are definitely well taken care of, and the person running it whose name I do not remember was friendly and helpful.
This place is actually pretty clean considering it is a cat cafe. Did not smell at all, which tells me this place gets cleaned really well and the litter boxes get cleaned more than once a day.
None of the cats seem to be in distress and in fact, a lot of them were so playful and lovey. They're all very well taken care of, and you can see the people that run this place really do care about the cats.
There are couches you can sit on, there are video games you can play, and there is a TV if you want to watch any kind of show or movie while you hang out with the kitties.
We've both been meaning to go back when our schedules allow it. I tell everybody I can about this place and even better, if there is a cat you bond with you can go through with the process of...
