Pok'e Noodle — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

Short version: Terrible service, food was okay. The staff served every person behind me in line before addressing my order. I only got my food because nobody new walked in..

Long version: I was first in line followed by several others behind me, and I ordered a sushi burrito. The woman working the counter asked if anyone behind me was getting a poke bowl, but they weren't ready to order yet, so I asked if I can just order my burrito now. She said OK, but there will be a wait (I assumed a burrito took longer to create than the bowl). I told her the ingredients to put in it, paid, and then she told me it would be a few minutes. She set my bowl aside, and then proceeded to serve the people in line behind me. She literally made the food for 4 other people who were behind me in line before finally finishing my order (which only required actually rolling the burrito). So her logic was that since burritos take longer than a poke bowl, she will make me wait until every other person in the restaurant has been served and then address me, because apparently the wait time for other customers was more important than my own. This included someone who wasn't even in the restaurant when I ordered, she came in well after me yet still got her food before me!

The fact that someone who arrived long after I had already ordered got served before me just makes no sense. You would think that the outstanding order would take priority over someone who hasn't even placed an order yet, but...

Poke Noodle is hard to miss when you're visiting Destiny USA. Located on the second floor of the 6th largest indoor mall in America, Poke Noodle serves its signature poke bowls as well as a variety of other noodle dishes. They serve pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables as well as a vegetarian meal option. The Poke Bowls are the main meal option here, but you can also choose from a variety of miso soups that are so good you won't want to slurp it, you'll want to drink it. Every time I've visited, the staff have always been friendly and keep everything pretty clean throughout the day. The atmosphere is very chill with a cool anime vibe with artwork on the walls to enjoy. They will serve you chopsticks but provide regular plastic utensils for the people like me who have two left thumbs. 🤙 They're pretty limited on drinks but do provide cans and bottles of soda. There's no bathroom at Poke Noodle but you're in the mall and there's a large restroom area located directly across the entrance lobby. The best way to get to Poke Noodle is if you park in the Solar street parking lot and cross the walking bridge and walk up the elevator. Once you enter the doors to Destiny, Poke Noodle is located to the right and next to Dick's sporting goods. I've been here a few times and I've enjoyed every meal. Avoid this restaurant like the plague! My wife and I were visiting Syracuse and decided to come to the mall to walk around while we waited for our friends to drive into town. We found this place and love poke so decided to give it a try based on the reviews. We ordered the tuna special which comes with 3 different types of tuna with either brown or white rice. We asked to substitute one kind of tuna for salmon and the lady agreed. When we got the poke bowl, the fish was not fresh and tasted very bad and the rice was also not fresh at all. We couldn’t even eat more than a few bites before we decided to throw the bowl out. We were so disappointed with our bowl. I will say though the lady working there was very nice and friendly but it did not make up for the awful food we were served. Avoid!...
