JRECK Subs — Restaurant in City of Watertown

If you are in the area and looking for a Sub I would highly recommend any of the local jreck subs locations. The one State Street is pretty good, they've got a bike rack available during the summer months for those you who prefer to ride their bike, and you've got a gas station right across the street.

Inside there are a few tables, the seats are about standard for a quick service / fast food restaurant, in other words just comfortable enough to let you sit and eat, not enough to encourage you to lounge around and read your book while you do so, something I do in occasion anyway.

I've never had any issues with any of the staff at any of the Jreck locations in Watertown, and the state street one is no exception to this. They are friendly, helpful and fast

Now let's talk about the important part, the subs. The rolls aren't fresh baked in house like at Subway but they somehow taste better, even if the crust isn't quite as firm. The ingredients really shine through too. The meats always taste fresh and are nice and cool, no warm "I've been sitting in this container all day" feelings there. The lettuce is crisp and , the tomatos are ok, not perfect, just passable.

Now don't expect alot of topping choices at Jrecks. You'll find your basics, lettuce, tomato, onions, etc, but that's it. The ingredients are of a high quality though, so I personally find it's worth the trade off.

The real great part about Jreck though is their hot foods. Their steak sub is leagues better then that at any Subway, in fact I'd argue they are the best I've had so far. Also their fries are really nice, perfectly crisp and with just the right amount of salt.

Husband & I just moved from South Georgia and wanted something quick for dinner. We looked at the rating and was super excited about trying this place out! We walk in order our subs with what I would consider a non difficult order of two subs. One on wheat with just peppers and provolone cheese & the other being with everything on white bread with pepper Jack cheese.. not only did the lady cooking the meat not register what we wanted but also argued back and fourth with the other lady working.. then proceeded to complain very loudly about wanting to leave. (unprofessional in my opinion) the guy offered her to leave at 8pm while he would stay.. mind you this is at 6:50pm, lobby full.. we finally get our hot subs and after arriving to our home .5 miles away we sit down to eat and our subs are completely MUSH. The bread felt raw and just mushed in your mouth. I took two bites and immediately threw it away. I'm so tired of coming to this location. I miss carthage but don't have a way to get there always. They never messed my orders up like this... seriously how do you not put buffalo sauce on a buffalo chicken sub?! More than 3 times this has happened ?! And today?
