So I was at this restaurant about a month ago and I was debating whether that I should go back at the end of the year after reading so many different reviews about how the food was not cook properly or was not hot I think my review is a fair review. It doesn't make any sense that I have to tell the waiter please make sure when you bring my food that it is pipe and hot off the grill. No one should have to eat cold or medium lukewarm food if they're paying for it. There's no question about it so I did not say anything I ordered a basic meal eggs and an omelet and you know they gave me the toast with the different jams One of the jams was quite nice actually as you'll see in the photo there's two of them in a container and then another one as though it was homemade or something. Nonetheless, the the omelet came and if you want to call it hash browns you can This is not what I know to be hash browns This is not known to me as such. I'm gathering everyone has their own way of making it but truthfully if you're going to identify as American cuisine when it comes to this particular meal then get it right and it was wrong. I had to ask the waiter to bring the food back because it was not hot when he bought it back I was able to eat it and it was fresh It was well cooked the egg was not runny it was a nice omelet. As I stated the jam was almost perfect not too sweet and just my liking however they skip you on the toast and I don't know why what's wrong with getting two slices of toast I don't care if it's oat milk bread I don't care if it's David's killer bread what difference does it make if I'm paying for it give me two slices of bread not one slice of bread cut in half, stop being cheap with your customers really stop it. Now perhaps you ran out of bread and that's the case then tell me and I would make a decision as to whether or not I would like another type of bread. But I had to ask for another slice of bread This is crazy. So the food was okay The coffee was okay The ambience was very nice I have to say I did enjoy the interior. What puzzled me very badly and sadly to say there were an overcrowd of male waiters. I don't understand that there were approximately 10 males on the floor waiting tables and one woman what kind of nonsense is that do you guys hire women? I thought it was kind of sad to see. There should be an equal balance now is it possible I just happened to come there one day when all but one woman was working I doubt it but nonetheless the only thing I can say about this restaurant is that they don't serve hot pipe and food on the first go round Will I come back probably not. But you guys make your own decision Don't waste your money when you could spend it for something better somewhere else. I'm just going to leave it right there.

Love City Limits, and have been a long time customer. This year, however, was the first time we ever ordered Thanksgiving dinner. It was just three of us so I opted for individual dinners instead of one of the two packages they were offering. Our meals came with both dark and white meat turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, cornbread & sausage stuffing, mixed vegetables (including carrots, asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and cauliflower), and cranberry dressing. Individual dinners did not include dessert, so I ordered an apple crisp (which ended up being more like a large apple pie with a delicious crispy, crumbly topping, and piled high thinly sliced, fresh apples that weren't overly sweet). The crust was perfection. If you've never had City Limits baked goods you're missing out. Everything is made in-house and they have a very skilled pastry chef! Highly recommend. We are already planning on ordering from them again next Thanksgiving. Even their pickup was impressive. Anyone ordering individual dinners could go inside the diner and pick up their bagged and labeled meals. Those ordering a package stayed in their cars, and lined up in the parking lot to load their turkeys and fixings into their cars. Was extremely well organized and the line moved quickly.

I’ve been dining at CityLimits from the day the opened on Central Avenue close to 25 years ago! I remember when the Lavanos Family had a restaurant on the corner where they built what looked like an upscale diner. While CityLimits is opened for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner, their menu, which resembles what you would find in a diner is really what you would find in a very classy restaurant. This evening we ordered their Lemon Chicken Kabab and their seared salmon. Both were exceptionally prepared and worth what we paid for our dinners. My one complaint ( which didn’t impact on my rating of giving them 5 Stars) is that the only semblance to a roadside diner is how they serve their butter! Instead of providing fresh butter or olive oil for their delicious homemade breads, we received 3 little packets of butter, individually wrapped! This is where CityLimits chooses to act like a diner! I don’t expect this review to change the way they run their very successful restaurant empire but it is almost comical given the superb dining experience that every guest feels while enjoying their meals.

Night club style drum & bass music m, relatively not busy last night. But yet I’m still unwell this morning. I ordered the “short rib special” my partner ordered the corned beef hash Benedict. My short rib was beyond cooked inconsistently, didn’t even seem like an actual short rib beef cut, looked like a doctored up corned beef trying to mime as a short rib filet. The green beans were undercooked, only pleasant thing was getting a proper Irish coffee at a diner in westchester again. However, I’m still sick as previously mentioned. My wife had corn beef hash Benedict? Might as well have been over oiled greased chipped corn beef, came with two eggs and toast but nothing else? The eggs looked nothing like a typical Benedict to my eyes, also the chipped corn beef seemed like it was yesterday’s meat reheated on a skillet or flat iron. My wife has had stomach issues all day too. I also felt like I was being watched by the wait staff seeing if I would actually eat the food. I don’t know why they would sit there lurking around the corner. My gut instinct is it’s because my speculation of the food is completely correct. Overpriced poor excuse of “all-day breakfast” and a “nightly special”. 10/10 would never...
