Marketplace Café at Nordstrom — Restaurant in City of White Plains

Worked in the neighborhood for a brief time. Had a couple of lunches here. The restaurant is inside Nordstroms on the 3rd floor. Menu is not extensive, but they do have good options and usually have daily specials. I've ordered a few items from the specials menu and a few off the regular menu. Tried birria grilled cheese, tomato soup, mushroom ravioli and the beef and barley soup. All were good, decent portions. The service from the table waitstaff is pretty good. The staff that take the orders up front are not as welcoming. One person barely looked at me when I was ordering. Place is cool I go often. Food is usually great. Staff are ok. Some seem a bit stressed or not in the mood to work. My BIGGEST issue is the Maintanence. One the decor should be upgraded but that’s a not a real deal breaker. The mess from previous customers are never cleaned up promptly. Every time I go there is at least two to three tables that need to be cleaned. Also the “clean” tables never look cleaned properly. The food is always very delicious but some of the women working look unhappy and have attitudes they talk and make faces at some of the customers behind their backs which is not good customer service and I feel like the young African American woman with the facial piercings and a lot of makeup shouldn’t be allowed to wear so many and she’s very extra, loud and should go to the bathroom and brush her hair not where people are eating and putting a brush on the table where is management to speak to them...
