I did The Surgery room with my sisters, fiance, and cousin. We've done at least a dozen escape rooms over the past 3 years. The Surgery was one of the best rooms we've done. As a group of 5, we felt like each of us was engaged the whole time. The puzzles were challenging enough to be fun without being so challenging as to be frustrating. We were able to escape the room in 35 minutes with no hints. Normally, we'd think such a short time meant it wasn't as "worth it", but we came out of that room so hyped up. We had an incredible time! The puzzles were varied and creative. It wasn't just a series of puzzles to unlock a box with a key inside for another box, like some escape rooms we've done. It was very well designed. Only one hiccup: We had a puzzle fail to work properly. We inputted the correct answer, but the game didn't register the "unlock" for a few minutes. They added those minutes to our ending time. (We had 22 min left, they awarded us 3 min so our final "score" was 25 minutes left). A few other pluses: The staff was very friendly and even slightly tailored our experience to our group after we told them we're a little more intense than "casual". Our game master withheld hints she usually gave to groups before we started, and after we escaped, since we had so much time left, they gave us a new puzzle to solve that they sometimes include for "pro" level. Also, you book the whole room to yourself, no matter how many people you have. We love that, since playing with strangers can be awkward or frustrating sometimes!

I just want to start by saying, I never really review places but this was seriously so awesome. the lady who helped us was so friendly and informative, amazing staff makes any place over-all so much better and that’s rare so I think that’s something that should be acknowledged and applauded. Be prepared to use your brain! This is the exact level of difficulty I was hoping for! Me and my bf are 26 & 30, he is a surgeon, soo I brought him to the the ‘surgeon’ room for a birthday activity! It wasn’t hard enough to be almost impossible but it’s wasn’t easy enough to do alone without thinking outside the box and use as much detective skills as you possibly can! I figured out things only i would figure out and he figured out things only he would figure and and it was such a rewarding feeling Bc when you do it’s not only impressive but it makes a major break through to head to the end! We finished with 6 mins left and we felt sooo proud lol! By the way you can ask for as many clues as you want so I wouldn’t worry too much on not being the best detective;) but I recommend not doing the clues unless it’s a must! Challenge your brain it feels great when you finally get it!!!!

I have done many escape rooms, a few with some of the same people from my group today but I have to say this is probably the best one I have done. Location: very accessible and parking was a breeze (we did street/meter parking - we put in $1.25/hr of quarters to cover us for 2 hours since we arrived half hour before our 12 pm slot) Venue: greeted very warmly, was told the room was already set up, asked if we needed to use the restroom, and our game master (I believe it was Monie - I am so sorry! I am sure I am spelling it wrong 😭) but she was SO nice and just great! We did the Vampire room and escaped with 12 seconds to spare. We had such a good time! We are not from this state (live 2 states away!) but if I am ever back in this area, I will definitely come back to try the other rooms. The room set up and back story was great and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We did get hints at different points of the game but it was truly a great experience.

My girlfriend and I played their Heist, Surgery, and Alien room and have nothing but great things to say about The Puzzle Parlour. We had the pleasure of having Ken as our game master who is also the owner. Immediately, we knew that he had a passion for escape rooms and we spent a lot of time talking about it.

Heist: Followed a story line and depending on how you played, there were different outcomes. The room itself was on point and we felt like we were at the police station. You felt like you were part of the Heist at all times. One thing that was new to us was that you actually started the room by unlocking the door from the outside! We escaped with 9 minutes left with using two clues!

Surgery: Our game master was Melvin who was amazing as well. Room was well thought out, every puzzle made sense, and was somewhat linear. This room does require extreme teamwork but was super fun and creepy at the same time. We escaped with 16 minutes left with using two clues!

Alien: This room was definitely more high-tech than the other two rooms. A lot of hands on activities and TEAMWORK! The interaction and hidden elements in this room made the experience enjoyable. Again, everything made sense in the room and the props and design was on point. We escaped with 15 minutes left with using two clues!

All in all, their rooms were extremely well thought out and with the addition of amazing game masters, I highly recommend The Puzzle Parlour for your escape room adventures. Currently, they are revamping their Vampire room so we will definitely be back once that is finished!

PS. Street parking is available or there are two lots in between the building for $1 an hour. All bookings are private so you won't be paired...

My friends and I did Surgery at The Puzzle Parlour at 4:45pm on a Saturday. One of my friends had done the Vampire room previously, but it was my other friend's and my first time here. Parking is metered around the area, so either bring quarters or have the app. Also, someone had told us that the Surgery room was scary, but when we called, the representative told us that the rooms can be scary, but you have to ask for it. As someone who is easily scared, I would recommend also requesting non-scary just to make sure.

All of us have done a lot of escape rooms, so Surgery was on the easier side. I liked the decor and the commitment to the puzzles aligning with the theme of the room. Another thing I liked was that for a majority of the puzzles, it was clear what unlocked what. If you do this room and you think you solved the puzzle correctly, make sure you really look around to see if anything happened. My one critique of the room was for the puzzle that you solve to exit. I wish that puzzle was more interconnected with the room (like hinted at in some way) and not just a random annoying challenge. There is also not a lot of stuff to do for a large group and the room is linear, but I feel like it aligns with the difficulty level they marketed it at.

Allie was our clue master, and she was wonderful! It was very clear she was paying attention to what we were doing and saying. In addition, she and the other staff members seemed like they were excited to be there, which always makes the experience fun. We will definitely be back to try their more...
