El Poblano Cafe — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

Cafe Poblano is a diamond in the rough. It's a hole in the wall spot that serves tacos, mexican food and a few authentic foods that you can't get anywhere else. The totas and cemitas (mexican sandwiches) are great as well as the tacos. If you are feeling adventurous, try the Pambazo, its street food from Mexico City and it's basically a torta bread loaf, dredged in guajillo sauce and cooked on the grill, filled with potatos and chorizo. The sign on the awning says "Luncheonette," and it feels like the 1930s but in Mexico City. Great soft tacos and burritos. It helps to speak Spanish, but not required. Very friendly, with nice old-time Yonkers photos on the wall. Very popular lunch spot for workers in Getty Square, or for those making a bus connection. A great deal.

Tacos el Poblano is definitely one of the best places in Yonkers to get Mexican food. All of their dishes particularly the nachos are great.
