Visit to Ruckle’s Pier on 8/6/2020 around lunch time Order 2 Chicken tender baskets - 8.99 1 cod basket - 10.99 1 flat bread cheese pizza - 5.99 1 chef salad no cheese - 7.99 2 cheese burgers - 7.50

Total 57.95 Tax 3.48 Sub total : 61.47

But my check was for $86 - I left a $10 tip for carry out - so it was $96 total - Originally I thought the bill said $8.60 and I told the waitress surely I owed more - and she said, “you want to pay more than $86??”

The food was GREAT!!! the fried pickles were a little spicy, but probably the best I have ever had. We wanted to try the fried ravioli, but they were out at the time - The fries were awesome - more like spiraled potatoes -

While I waited for my order a table in the restaurant complained that the cottage cheese had spoiled and the cups of tartar sauce with my cod were off. I am not positive it was spoiled, it may have been vinegar based - but it was nothing like standard tartar sauce and was not for me.

I ordered by phone 15 minutes before arrival - they said 15 minutes for pick up - I waited another 10 to 15 minutes at the restaurant

I wrote an email through their website a week after my visit (because I was on vacation) - to alert them to the fact that I was charged more than 25% more than should I have paid - a week later - I have had no response

I was told that Ruckles was the place for fish. I was skeptical because I was also told that Riverdale had a nice fish dinner. Which turned out to be a lot like the franchise, Captain D's. Breaded and crunchy with no flavor. To my surprise the food was excellent. The fish was great although I only tasted my wife's fish. The atmosphere was a bit stuffy. I walked in with my wife and son. My 8 I take my time, look back and would speak if the glares continued but its rare that they do. We were served on time if there is such a thing. Friendly, courteous as can be seeing the place was full. I would certainly return, and we will soon, at which time I will write another review. There was a man sitting at the bar close to the back or side exit, who came to ask us to borrow a chair from our table. I thought he was another customer needing a seat. After dinner, we were walking out and that same guy said, "Have a great evening, thanks for coming." There could not have been a better conclusion to...

This is my go to for a night out. Fish fry is the best around! Dinners are amazing! Excellent staff! I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere here is just relaxing. Like your with family! The bartender will make table stops to ensure everything is great, the wait staff is on top of your needs like no where else! You'll never see an empty glass! Everyone makes you feel comfortable. Everyone trys to get to know you. I've lived up here for 5 years and it's been like this since day one. Appetizers are top notch! I've never had a bad meal here. And seriously doubt I ever will!
