Chicken Palace in Clark, NJ — Restaurant in Clark

These people are SO disorganized. They dropped off their menu @ my job, L’Oréal. They have 2 numbers listed. 1 for the English line and 1 for the Spanish line. I called the English line and a woman answers in Spanish and had to get someone who spoke English.

I ordered my lunch 2 hours in advance and I specifically asked for it to arrive at my lunchbreak, 1pm. The driver got here 10 mins late.

On a separate occasion, again, my order was NOT delivered on time. I called about 3 times when finally they informed me that the driver had “a flat tire”. Why did no one call and communicate? I drove to pick up my food and wasted my whole break. Also, the short, overweight lady who only speaks Spanish had attitude when I picked up my order.

The address on the menu is WRONG. The hours of operation on the menu is ALSO WRONG. I called at 9 they said they open at 9:30. I asked for an egg breakfast sandwich and they told me they are not serving sandwiches. What??? Yesterday, I called for ocupa and they said they didn’t have it. So, they never have anything on the menu.

I don’t think it’s a business phone, I believe it’s a personal cell because a rude woman answered sounding sleepy. She asked me to call back at 9:30 only to tell me that there’s no breakfast sandwich after I ASKED THE FIRST TIME I CALLED AT 9am! Why make me wait til 9:30 to tell me?!

I will never order from here again. Ghetto, unprofessional, rude and disorganized. I’m so disappointed. I tried to give them a chance but now I realize, the complaints online...

I just came back from my trip to Peru and decided to give this place a try. The food was wonderful! I ordered the fish chaufa and it tasted just like the fish chaufa I had in Lima! The aji verde was also delicious! I appreciated the fact that it did not have that overwhelming taste of Mayo that most ajis have. Would have given this place 5 stars had it not been for the service. I am the most empathetic and understanding person; especially as I have worked in the food industry before. With that being said, the waitress was not personable and seemed very angry/annoyed. I tried to not let it bother me, as she may have been having a bad day. However, she had a tone/attitude the entire time I was there. She also didn’t offer to get us any cups straws for our drinks. She didn’t check on our table after bringing out our food. She didn’t even offer to get me take out box after passing my table several times and seeing the mound of food on my plate (very generous portions!). If they ever get a nicer waitress/waiter, I’ll update my review from 4...

The food is good but the service is horrible. I ordered a noddle soup that has a choice of beef or chicken and I told the server I wanted chicken. 5-10 minutes later, my order came out and it’s beef strips. I complained to the server that I ordered chicken and she even argued with me that I said beef. She said if I wanted chicken as add on, I have to pay extra $4. There’s only 2 server at that time, one barely speaks English and the other who speaks English barely knows the menu. My husband ordered a combo (1/2 roasted chicken with rice, salad, fries). We thought we ordered the one that comes with egg and when we asked the server where is the egg? She went back and check and came back telling us that we ordered the other combo that didn’t come with egg. The server has to repeat the customers’ orders before she leave the table to make sure she got everything correct.
