Cattleman's Roadhouse — Restaurant in Clarksville

Normally I’m not one to write a review because I work in food too and I understand how stressful things can get and so on. That being said, there’s never an excuse for poor behavior or cold/wrong food. I came with my family tonight and when our buzzer buzzed we came in and the front of house staff members just stared at us as we were standing in the entrance. They walked us around the entire restaurant and we noticed that there wasn’t actually a table that was cleaned and ready to be sat; that’s no big deal of course, just odd that we took a circle around the restaurant. When we were sat our waitress was fantastic and the best part of our night and we could tell that other parties had had similar issues with the front of house due to her reaction. We ordered quickly but it took over an hour for our food to come out. The two tables by us, both of which got there after my family, got their food before us and when our food finally came it was ice cold on the outside. Obviously my family was upset because we had been waiting for a while but all the guy had to say was, “You know, sorry we’re human but this happens.” Lol what?? That is not an appropriate response to a table of cold food oh my lord. Other than our lovely waitress, the service was poor and rude and not very customer friendly. I get having annoying customers but there is no excuse for cold food; even the tables next to us had things wrong with their food so it obviously wasn’t just us. I’d love for any business to succeed but that doesn’t happen unless everyone is on board for that to happen. Hostess told us 15 min. It was 30 and people after us were getting seated. I went to hostess stand, young girl up there who gave us the beeper wouldn't even turn around to help me OR the people coming in. Another employee stepped up to help. I asked about our beeper as it had been Double the time(we had 2 youngs kids with us as well) and others getting seated etc. He took my beeper and advised my beeper # wasnt even on list! The young girl wrote wrong #. Didnt call out for table of 5 NOTHING.. IT was not that busy to have totally ignored us. Then they seat us...

No plates with rolls. Waitress said she'd bring. No plates with appetizer, was told she'd bring. I finally just went and grabbed hot plates at the salad bowl (which THAT is yuck to me...hot plates for cold salad) My steak was gross (supposed to be bourbon glazed....) just gross not good piece of meat. Grandson ordered cheese sliders and Broccoli... no cheese on sliders and NO Broccoli. Waitress brought him out a cold slice of cheese and finally the Broccoli came out. Waitress would NEVER take empty plates...table was full of them. We attempted on several visits to table to get rid of them and was just ignored. FINALLY got check brought to us. We were standing kids exhausted...... and Wrong check was given to me.... the rest of my party was just over it and left while i waited for correct ticket.

Took the wife and kid to eat here. The food we ordered was the mozzarella wedges, a chicken Chipotle wrap, and the salad bar we also were served bread. The bread witch comes first for you to eat on it was so fluffy it was like a cloud on the inside the ingredients come together to form a creamy goodness that could only be described as eatting a cloud on a nice warm day, the tops of the bread was beautifuly done they had that texture your looking for beautiful golden brown color to them. The mozzarella wedges were so delicious the crispy outside done in oil that isn't dirty, the cheese was melted to perfection, and no oil on the insides of them with a cheese pull that you dream of. The taste crisp outside with a beautiful mozzarella inside that just goes together like a nice warm day and a lemonade. The chicken wrap wasn't to spicy but not to calm it hit that sweet spot in the middle the tender is at least taste hand breaded the lettuce on the wrap taste like they just prepared a salad in front of you from the freshest greens. My wife said the salad bar was beautiful, done fresh greens, nothing was wilting, and the best part is its endless. Now I will say the prices are a bit more expensive but if you want to get some of the most well done food then I suggest you go here.
