If you want a very noisy environment with apathetic staff and food so bland that it’s not even seasoned with salt or pepper, Nicks is your place to go! Careful though, the biscuits and gravy are the only thing on the menu that makes this place above a one star because it’s better than most other places, so if you are afraid of a little spice make sure to avoid that! Never had a poached egg before? Don’t worry, neither has their chef! They’ll be happy to give you an undercooked and an overcooked poached egg in the same bowl! Are you tired of your hash browns being seasoned? No worries, Nicks will just fry those potatoes in a bland oil with no seasoning, so you can add all the seasoning yourself! You get to be the chef and control the seasoning! The staff won’t care about any of your worries and leave you alone, so you can enjoy your entire meal in peace. Except for the wonderful loud ambiance of all their other patrons, no need to have a conversation with the people you’re with, you won’t be able to hear them anyway! And if you aren’t happy with your experience? Well, that’s on you, you’ll still have to pay for the food you got because you should have known better. Don’t want to come back? They don’t care at all, because they’ve got PLENTY of clientele that will come regularly. So head on over to Nick’s Country Oven, where you are the spice master yourself and the only flavor on the table...

We've been coming to Nick's for many years and I'm surprised that I haven't posted a review before! We go here at least once a week on Sunday mornings, but frequently for lunch and dinner. The staff is fantastic! Very attentive - your iced tea and water is topped of often during your meal. My husband loves their omelettes and hash browns. He also loves their rye bread. He loves their super club and turkey dinner. I'm a huge fan of the veal parmesan with pasta - the portion is huge and I easily get two meals out of of it. My favorites item is the beef tips - served over a big bowl of pasta. Yummy! Their slim Jim is great - they use real sliced ham on their sandwiches and with breakfast. They have the best chicken noodle soup in the area! Hash browns and fries are always good. Parking on three sides of the building. Morning/lunch on the weekends is busy - you may have a short wait, particularly if you want a booth. The restaurant is always clean. I'd say we eat here 6-7 times a month. Prices are worth it - the portions are huge. We've never had a bad meal. You usually get a bread basket...
Read moreI don't have enough GREAT words to describe our visit to Nick's today. My daughter, granddaughter, and I stopped for lunch, and what a wonderful experience it was. The restaurant was busy. However, they had a way of making us feel like we were the only customers there. I'm sure everyone else felt that as well. The wait staff all worked together, making everyone feel welcome and accommodated. Our food was excellent! Very large portions for the price. The soup was homemade, the salads were crisp and fresh, the food came hot, and it was very well prepared, not just thrown on a plate. Everyone went above and beyond. For example, my granddaughter just turned one this week. We ordered her a small fruit plate. Instead of sending out a plate of sliced fruit, some kind soul took the time to dice her fruit in little bite-sized pieces perfect for a 1 year old. (see picture) It was this level of detail and attentiveness that makes me want to give Nick's a 20 star review. The restaurant was very clean the food very good but it is Nick and his staff that make this place rise above others. We did not feel like customers at Nick's Country Oven. We felt like guests at Nick's home, and like we had known him and his staff for years. I highly HIGHLY...
