We usually get ice cream from Dairy Queen but were on the opposite side of the street. I took the kids since it was about to storm, we should have went to Dairy Queen anyway. We walk-in to see the cakes first and there is another customer who was very annoyed, she was waiting on the cashier to finish her transaction. The young man was trying to figure out how much money to give back to her. I wasn’t there when she first came in but as hard as he was trying the lady was trying not to be upset. He finally gave her back some money, but then kept saying his math wasn’t working.
We waited about 5-7 minutes, while waiting we were looking at the ice cream. The cashier finally finished with lady and then helped us. We ordered two small kids cups and a double scoop cup. The young man said $14.88, I gave him a twenty. He pulled out two dollars, then said “I don’t have anymore dollars bills. I told him I would give him 15 cents so he could give me back $5.03. That didn’t calculate with him, he couldn’t do the math. I told him the total was 14.88, I gave you 15 cents, you owe me $5.03 cents. This transaction was taking longer than I would liked it too and the kids were starting to get impatient. I finally got back the right amount, he went to get the ice cream.
We noticed there was algae or mold growing inside side the ice coolers. So I asked the cashier is that mold, he looked shocked like he didn’t know what to say. He said “no I don’t think so”. I said, it definitely looks like mold or some algae buildup. I asked for the manager and the guy stated the managers name is Tim or Terry. I plan to reach out to them about this.
Overall our experience was not good, I always recommend what could help when I review a place good or bad. I would suggest that the young man help make the orders and someone else take the orders. You may also want to implement in hiring a competency test to ensure that your candidates can do math when customers give back change or your out of certain currency. Another suggestion would include having someone clean out your cooler and possible making a weekly...
Read moreI have been here a few times now to give this place a chance. It needs new management who is invested & cares to make this place better. This place has consistently been dirty. Last time I went the toilet was clogged & there was splatter all in the bathroom. When I told one of the employees, he said he told his boss that he was there to serve ice cream & coffee not clean bathrooms. There are flys in ice cream freezer & no effort to clean it out. Items are left out on the counters instead of being stocked appropriately. They are ALWAYS about of something. You name it: cups & tops for ice cream (seems pretty important for an ice cream place), cookies (was told they never carried them), ice cream, etc. The ice cream isn’t kept at the right temperature so it has ice frozen on it. A mountain of issues that I won’t be coming back to...
Read moreThis was my first and last time there. Cold stone is much better than this company. All I asked for was a cookies and cream milkshake, but they didn't have the ice cream. The guy was nice enough to make it with vanilla ice cream and the cookie pieces, so I asked if he could do chocolate ice cream with the cookies instead, and he said yes.
I didn't understand why I needed to pull around to wsit for a simple milkshake. It took over ten minutes, and all I got was just a regular, large chocolate shake with no oreos anywhere, and it tasted like something you'd...
