I recently had a disappointing experience at a Chinese restaurant that I feel compelled to share. The food was incredibly bland and lacked any distinct flavors that are typically associated with Chinese cuisine. However, the worst part of the meal was definitely the fried rice. It was not only bland, but it also had a particularly nasty taste that was quite off-putting.
To make matters worse, the service was far from satisfactory. The employee who took my order was short, curt, and downright rude. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service was evident throughout my entire visit.
I had ordered the beef and vegetables with fried rice along with a side of egg drop soup. Unfortunately, none of the dishes lived up to my expectations. The beef and vegetables lacked flavor and were overcooked, while the egg drop soup was watery and lacked the richness I had hoped for.
Overall, my experience at this Chinese restaurant was extremely disappointing. The bland and nasty food, particularly the dreadful fried rice, combined with the rude and unprofessional service left me with a negative impression. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both the quality of their food and the behavior of...
Read moreThe worst thing about this place is that it's closed on Mondays! I felt compelled to write this review after reading a few one stars. I havent been here in a few months and hesitated to order because of those reviews, worrying that the quality of the food had gone down. Nope! Still the best Chinese in town!
Every time I move I have to find a new "favorite" Chinese place. I have tried every other Chinese in Clayton, but I specifically make a 15 minute drive to this place because it is hands-down the best. They only do orders over the phone or in store, and have no delivery, but its worth it. I've lived here for 6 years and the quality has always been on-point and has been consistent.
Keep in mind this isnt a fancy restaurant so if thats what youre looking for, go to Sushi Iwa down the street and fork out almost $100 for a couple of dishes. This is a typical hole-in-the-wall type takeout restaurant with the owner's kids sitting around doing their homework and the Asian folks in the back screaming at each other in mandarin.
I was going to post a picture of the food, but I ate it too quickly and oh man...
