Mr Submarine-Mr Gyros — Restaurant in Clearwater

I ordered a gyro w/fries and a cheese burger for the kid. Flavor of the gyro meat was very good, I've always liked Kronos. As for their tzatziki sauce, it had a very light flavor to it. I didn't taste any garlic and could barely taste the cucumber. But the sauce's creaminess did complement the gyro pretty well. The burger was okay. The patty didn't taste like anything special, didn't taste much seasoning. The bun on the other hand had a really good flavor to it, but it had a texture not normal for a burger bun, it was flaky. My daughter didn't care much for the burger, so I tried it and ended up mostly just eating the bread.

That being said, next time I go back I'll try their cheese steak. Maybe I might add another star if it's as good as people say.

Edit: Alright, my second visit. By the way the gentleman at the counter is a great guy very friendly and nice to talk to. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and an order of 5 wings with hot buffalo. I'll start with the wings, great size of wing not too small not abnormally huge. The meat was just how a wing should be, crunchy skin on the outside juicy chicken on the inside. Also, I love that he seasoned his chicken wings before adding the sauce, Great Job. The buffalo sauce had a pretty decent flavor to it, only complaint is that the "Hot" buffalo is more like a mild or low med, but no big deal just would've better enjoyed a spicier wing. Okay, so now for the philly. The bread is fantastic, what ever bakery they get their bread from is amazing, spot on. As for the philly meat it was seasoned very well, I really enjoyed the flavor of that seasoning they use. The first bite I took I got a little bit of gristle, I thought no big deal I'm sure the rest of the sandwich is fine. But no, it seemed like each bite I took there was more and more gristle it was terrible. I couldn't eat the other half of the sandwich because the gristle was so overwhelming. Every bite I took I was spitting out bits of cartilage, I couldn't enjoy it. But again, great seasoning, just need a better quality supplier for your beef.

Conclusion: Gyros are great, Chicken wings are great, Bread is AMAZING! But everything beef I have ordered here was just full of disappointment. Burger patty was bland and dry and Philly meat was full of gristle. I'm hesitant to give this place another star, but I think because I enjoyed the chicken wings so much and the pleasant service I'll bump it...

I hadn't ordered anything from there in a long time I felt disappointed when I ordered a gyro with fries and the best thing out of my whole meal was the fries although the pita bread tasted fresh but the tomatoes were old and very mushy the meat tasted sour like it had gone bad I was so disappointed because I've been having a taste for that for a while and finally got the opportunity to go by and order it, I just think that they should constantly check their produce and Meats usually they have a good reputation but I just didn't have a good experience that particular day, will you have a good business you should keep it up by being attentive to your products these days it's a blessing to continue to have a good business that's why they should continue to keep their customers happy with Fresh Foods just felt like those fries were the most expensive fries I've ever paid for in my life cuz that's the only thing I could eat out of...
