My recent lunch at SLOW or on the go artisan cafe was an absolute pleasure, not just for the fantastic food, but for the genuinely engaging atmosphere created by owner Roy and his wonderful staff. It's truly refreshing to visit a place where the people behind the counter are so passionate and knowledgeable about what they serve.

Roy and his team were incredibly attentive, taking the time to chat with patrons about their commitment to healthy and clean food. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it was clear they genuinely care about providing nutritious and delicious options. This personal touch really elevates the dining experience and makes you feel like more than just a customer.

And the food? Simply outstanding! My lunch was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was looking for. But the true stars of the show were the vegan chocolate cake and the cappuccino. The cake was incredibly moist, rich, and decadent – easily one of the best vegan desserts I've ever had. And the cappuccino was perfectly crafted, a smooth and aromatic complement to the meal.

Firstly, I want to say walking into the café, I was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome immediately. The vibes were clean, friendly, and you can smell their amazing roast brewing. My mom comes to this café every time and would tell me about her experience and the close relationship she’s built with baristas and staff. Being a coffee lover, I was so excited to go for our mother-daughter day. We got to meet the owner of the coffee shop and hear a bit of their story and the importance of the café to them, which made me and my mom feel connected with the establishment. The baristas were super helpful in helping me navigate their menu options. I got to try their blonde espresso iced with cold foam, and my mom got their mocha latte. My first sip, I was amazed with the quality of their espresso! So much better than other chain coffee shops that I’ve been to. It wasn’t bitter or watered down, just perfect! For food, we got to sample their vegan chocolate cake (a menu item they created from scratch). which was surprisingly good as chocolate isn’t my favorite flavor, but after taking my first bite, my mom and I had to get two slices to go! My girlfriend, Pam, and I share the same birthday so she arranged a party for us at Slow or On the Go. Every single one of us was truly impressed with the quality of service, the aesthetics and cleanliness of the place (including the bathroom!), the friendliness, helpfulness, generosity and truly in communication participation of the owner (Roy) and staff. Absolutely stellar. The gorgeous South African tea service was trimmed with real gold, if you can believe that. There are gluten free desserts and food for those who want such and everything presented, including beautiful salads and desserts are made a a real person, Ashley. My personal favorite was the tiramisu. I will only eat it if it is moist, less cake, more cream. That was the birthday cake! I could have eaten a pan of it and will definitely return just for that for treats for my friends and group meetings.
