Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews — Restaurant in Clearwater

The menu items are a little on the pricey side, (what place isn't now-a-days?) and the food we ordered (and consumed) was hot, tasty and filling. Another plus is the non-alcoholic beverages and fries are 'bottom-less', which means refills are free. One of my favorites is the Freckled Strawberry Lemonade. A tall cold refreshing glass of Minute-Maid lemonade made with whole and pieces of fresh strawberries. A delicious thirst-quenching combination, not too sweet and not too tart, just perfect! The burgers are a healthy size and are not a greasy blob of beef soaking up the roll and making a sloppy mess when you pick it up to eat it. The crispy fish (Cod) basket was delicious as well. Our server, Yadaira, was outstanding! She made sure our order was correct by repeating it back to us before submitting it to the kitchen. She brought our drink order immediately and the appetizer promptly (while it was still hot!) She made sure we were settled and had everything we needed before moving onto her next guests. She would also come back at medium intervals (just about the right amount of time to avoid the appearance of being neglected or a pest) to see if we needed refills or anything else. In short, she was very knowledgeable, professional, pleasant and polite. A+++++ because she was always smiling! Now onto a less favorable review... The music was a bit too loud as we had to speak louder to be heard and understood. We asked if it could be turned down and our server went to check, but the manager stated it was pre-set and nothing could be done to lower or raise the volume. Bummer. This part will probably throw some people into a real defensive tizzy. Well, I'm sorry for that, however being inconsiderate to others in not good manners or acceptable. I love children as much as anyone else, with maybe the exception of a child or children who are misbehaving by screaming, cursing, throwing a temper tantrum and/or just throwing food wherever. I wonder if restaurants could provide a section just for families with small children, (like some churches do). This would serve as a multi-purpose accommodation. It would save the parents the embarrassment of their child(ren) acting out where all can see. The parents could offer discipline (if at all) away from watchful eyes who think discipline for children is evil. It would also spare other patrons from getting upset because their peaceful meal was being interrupted by an out-of-control brat. I would recommend Red Robin as a great place to eat. Somehow my 5 Star rating was knocked to a one star when I published my review. I only noticed it when I read the reply from Red Robin. Sometimes I think computers might have a mind...

Went to the Red Robin at the country side mall in Clearwater, Fla on June, 15th, 2018 around 4:30 pm. We wanted to eat a burger before the movie started. First we entered and waited & waited for the hostess to seat us. Finally after 3-5 mom we were seated. We were ignored by everyone working the floor until the hostess came out from the back. Maybe she was in a smoke break or flirting in the kitchen, IDK..The waiter was prompt & friendly & even put on a fresh pot of coffee when I asked if the coffee was fresh. We ordered the special $6.99 burgers w/ bottomless fries. I are my fries first & continues to nibble on the next batch. After a while I picked up my burger & took a bite. I got the shock of my life when a baby cockroach crawled out from on top of the lettuce into the bun. I said to my friend look a roach as I proceeded to catch it to kill it. She's telling me no it's a fruit fly. I said if it was a fruit fly it would fly away when I tried to kill it. She knew it was a roach but she had eaten her entire burger before I got to mine. Besides as I caught it a killed it, it never attempted to fly away cuz it was No Doubt a baby cockroach. I wonder where the mother was. I called the waiter & explained the situation. He made his apologies & offered me another cup of coffee. When he brought out the stainless steel pot it was filthy. It was spotted with grease & God knows what. By this time I was sick to my stomach. The manager never came to the table. He only comped my burger, charged me for the coffee & my friends meal. After a situation like that your eyes are open & you can see how dirty& filthy this place is. The floor, the tables, the entrance way doors. Maybe because they hire young workers or pay low wages; the employees take no pride in their place of work. Or maybe the manager doesn't know how to do his job. Anyway the Board of Health will be notified as well as Corporate Headquarters as soon as I can find a phone number or better yet an E-mail address. Don't Eat There. Some one will get Salmonella poisoning. This place should be shut down till it's properly cleaned...

Bad service. Ordered the onion rings...while eating the onion rings we noticed we didn't have any napkins. We had to flag down the waitress to ask for napkins and silverware. Waitress brought us napkins and two forks. Took 15-20 min to come back to ask us what we wanted to order for our entree. When our entree was brought to us by some other person other than the waitress, our waitress didn't come check on us for a good half hour to ask of we needed anything or if everything came out good. I needed a knife to cut my burger and I had to get up and ask myself. The waitress didn't ask if we wanted refills on water or the bottomless rootbeer float. We had to flag her down to ask. We had to ask for more bottomless fries and salad and she came back with the fries but forgot the salad. When she did finally bring us refills she didnt take the dirty glasses out of our way she just left it on the table and we were at a two person table and I had to put our used glasses on the empty table behind us to make room at our table. When she did finally bring us more fries she did the same thing with the empty fries plate...left it on our table along with our other empty dishes. When we ordered dessert after one hour of her coming to check on us we had to ask for dessert it was not offered she brought the dessert out and had no where to place it on the table because she never took our dirty dishes. She was just MIA. We didn't know where our waitress was and she didn't check up on us. The table was dirty and sticky when we first sat at it. The mac and cheese tasted like plastic, I had to spit it out. The food was cold and serving size was small. The taco burger had no tortilla strips on top. As the tables were left empty by the customers no one cleaned them. Overall, Crappy service, food made me sick and gave me a headache, bad managed area. It was an uncomfortable environment that caused me stress. I didnt have what I needed to be comfortable and have a relaxed enjoyable dinner. Disappointed. I won't go back to...
