Sleep Number — Hotel in Clearwater

I have purchased expensive mattresses in the past.Our previous mattress was only 1 yr old.I was experiencing pain in both hips.Tossing & turning all night.Up & Down all night.Previous had neck surgery twice.My husband is a UPS driver with a bad back as well.I was 100% over all the extra pain I was having due to the previous Mattress. To young for this.I looked up the sleep number beds, one night when I wasn’t able to go to sleep.yes the beds are pricy.But I asked my self,- can I put a price tag on great amazing sleep.Which controls the whole next day.& day after that, so on.My husband likes a firm bed I like a softer bed. Just made sense to go check out the Sleep Number beds.Went to Countryside Mall Location.Omg.Tony was amazing, so knowledgeable-showed up several beds.showed us his sleep number app & how it works.How my husband and I can compare and compete with each other to see who gets a better score.Testing the showroom beds had me sold.Absolutely Loves them.sealing the deal when Tony showed us how sleep number app.Making it fun for us had me sold. He did suggest the mattress protection pad.Which we purchased due to the amazing warranty.( hoping we never have to use. But there just in case).bought 2 sets of the sheet.WOW. Those are quite expensive.But i definitely don’t want to deal with the sheets coming off the corners. Which these will not.Has an extremely high Thread Count.Which is good.Has cooling technology.Which is also very good. And we did buy 1 remote.LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. First time owner.You had me a best sleep ever.& I could adjust my husbands side when he snores.Because OMG he sounds like a freight train coming in.cant rave enough about this bed.Even has a light (with 3 settings low med.high) that turns on automatically when you get up.Never stump that baby toe ever again.Another plus.Has the foot warmer at the end of the bed.oh my.Feels amazing. Highly recommend. May take you a few days or so to get your happy number setting. But he patient. Once you do. Your sleep will be fantastic. And as the app says. With fantastic sleep. Leads to fantastic days. More alert. More energy. Focused. Not as moody. And at night you actually look forward to getting into bed. I want to purchase the sleep number bed furniture next.(With the reading lights on the sides.) We purchased the slit King. One thing we didn’t want was the seam down the middle of the bed.The top slit in the mattress is just perfect for receiving a massage. Lol stick your nose down there. And you’re able to still breathe.Another positive plus :-). That you SLEEP NUMBER for helping my dreams come true. :-). :-). :-)....

To put my review into perspective, I'll begin by stating this was the first time I've dealt with Sleep Number. I visited this location while in the market for a new bed and spoke with Greg. While he was good at providing some details about the bed/bases, he left out some others that would have been deal breakers.

1st, he didn't disclose that the bed he sold me required me to download an app to control the mattress and that the app would collect personal information. Upon the delivery of the bed, they informed me that I wouldn't be able to control the mattress without the app. I proceeded to call Greg and explained that I didn’t want another app on my phone and definitely didn’t want another one tracking my personal information. He claimed he couldn’t do anything for me and told me I would have to call customer service. I then called customer support and they agreed to send me the cordless remote to be able to control the bed so I could delete the app from my phone. While this was pleasing, the 2nd deal breaker arose after I rec'd the remote.

I attempted to sync the cordless remote to the bed and it wouldn't work. Since I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong, I pulled up the Sleep Number customer service chat. During the chat they then informed me that the base Greg sold me is ONLY operable by a corded remote. If he had disclosed this, I wouldn't have bought that base. The last thing most people want is more cords everywhere. Due to the negligence of him to fully explain the details of the bed/base, explain the specifics on how I would have to control them, and due to the numerous devices that are required to use the bed, I now have a $4,000 bed I don't want.

I've contacted Sleep Number via a review on their website asking if someone from Sleep Number would contact me to exchange the base I have with one that I can control via cordless remote. I explained that I'm sure there is a difference in the cost and have no problem paying the difference. I'm not sure if/when they will contact me but if they do, I will update my review accordingly. As of now, though, this will be both the first and last item I ever purchase from Sleep...

I would not recommend anyone buy this bed even though it is the most comfortable bed in which my husband and I have ever slept. The beds are good but way overpriced and the company’s service is terrible. From the day of delivery until over two years later, nothing about service with this company has been easy. On the day of the delivery the crew arrived very late using a Uhaul van wearing no uniforms, just ID badges, and assembled our $4000 bed in the dark in the street. They refused to assemble the bed in the house on our clean floors. We received very few instructions on how to operate the system and were told to call customer service. Dealing with customer service was very frustrating and took many return calls. Do not buy sheets or any bedcovers or any extras there. We had to replace our Sleep Number sheets for a fraction of the cost online after a year because the Sleep Number ones faded. I ordered a replacement part today from Sleep Number which UPS shows was never delivered to our house, and I was told to deal with UPS. No refund. No new part for free. When my husband or I have a problem and try to find help online, it is very difficult to find helpful assistance. All of this amounts to a poor company, especially when not just Amazon but Target and even Walmart do much more to provide quality...
