Long story short, this location ruined our proposal/engagement by sending us the wrong sized ring.
Long version: This location made a huge mistake with my engagement ring and no one there seems to care. I’ve planned this for a long time. I made sure I went with my now fiance to make sure the ring we picked out could fit my size 4 finger. My finger was sized on site and they knew I was a size 4. My fiance took the ring and went off to the side to buy it. I came over to make sure everything was good, but the salesperson shooed me away. They didn’t tell us the ring would take almost two months to get shipped to the store until after my fiance paid for it. The ring would come in a size 5 and once it arrived at the store it would take a week for them to size it down to a 4. Then they would ship it to us. After all of this, it should have been shipped to us in a size 4 ready to go by the first week of April. He received it then, so on schedule. Then he proposed to me. The ring fell off. It was a size 5. So what was the extra week for? So of course this ruined the proposal and proposal pictures because it is clearly too big on my finger and then we were running around town to find spacers. I couldn’t even wear my ring without worrying it would fall off. We proceeded to spend $30 to overnight spacers that may or may not have gotten to me in time before work the next morning. The spacers didn’t fit right. Isn’t that what you are supposed to do? Be super excited and show off your ring to all of your friends and coworkers? I called and spoke to the salesperson who sold us the ring and she kept trying to rush me off the phone. It wasn’t until after I was saying how inconvenient this was that she apologized. But she never let me explain any of what I just mentioned. She just said since I have the protection plan I could ship it in and get it sized for free. She sent me a shipping label after I pushed for it. I asked her how long it would take. She didn’t offer expedited shipping/processing. It was like pulling teeth to get a time frame. It was going to take over 10 days. When she told me a time frame I told her I couldn’t do that because my mom was flying into town to go to the bridal expo with me and watch me try on dresses at some salons. Of course I want to wear my ring during this. She said she would work on the label and then call me back. I wanted to express how pissed off and disappointed I was with the service and how this store is ruining my engagement. But she never called me back. My fiance had called prior to this and she didn’t seem to care then either. I don’t think they realize how much they ruined this moment for us. It’s a once in a lifetime thing and I will never get that back. Since my mom left, I have now shipped off my ring and I am waiting for it to get sized.
On a side note, the center stone doesn’t look as nice as the ring I tried on in the store.
Update: I reached out to the email in the comment and what a joke that was. Mikki, the store manager was absolutely useless. She gave a quick apology and offered a $100 gift card. That’s absolutely not enough to rectify the situation. I am taking this issue higher up until I get it resolved. Please stay far away from this place as we have spent hours of our time, starting back in mid April, trying to...
Read moreWas out with my husband today doing Christmas shopping and decided to stop in here. I've been looking for a few new rings and a set to go with my wedding ring to help enhance it. I found the stackable rings right away and we waited to be helped. After a short 10 minutes a man begrudgingly approached us. His demeanor from the start was agitation and disgust. I realize we weren't dressed up in fancy clothes and were instead wearing sweats, but the prejudgment was a fault of his. We just wanted to be casual while we dropped a few bands. Upon trying on 3 different rings stacked with my wedding ring, I wasn't feeling like they were what I wanted to long term match my ring. I however was highly interested in obtaining multiple other rings for statement purposes. I asked my husband what he thought of the rings paired with my wedding ring and he (like myself) wasn't seeing it. Out of nowhere the employee mockingly suggests we try claires or icing before I can ask about other rings. I immediately asked why we would consider doing that and he choked. As he should have. How completely disrespectful can you be? We opted to leave at that moment and take our money to several other stores quietly. And still thanked him for his time. In hindsight he didn't deserve a thanks. Windsor, zumiez, vans, rack room shoes, Macy's, forever 21, finish line, Hot Topic, Victorias secret, Auntie Anne's, and Zales got our money just to name a few. Helzberg did not and never will. This moment will stick with us. It's appalling that an employee would speak with such malice and hierarchy to a customer. We will not spend money at this establishment in the future. Shame on...
Read moreMy son is getting married. We had to pick out a ring for him plus get his future wife's ring resized. We had been to another store but had no success. I am not familiar with rings and jewelry that much so I wasn't sure what to expect. We ran into Helzberg in the Mall in Clearwater. The woman that serviced us was excellent. Very patient. I did not get the idea that she was all that much concerned with pushing for a sale or anything other than caring for the customer. She was with us for at least an hour as my son tried on 20 rings. She never lost her composure or got irritated or impatient. I find that to be an excellent quality and noticed that. There were many varieties. It seemed like my son could not pick one. The woman just kept showing us more options. They had a tremendous variety. Finally my son found something he really liked and it was a good deal. It was cheaper than the other ones but the sales woman didn't care. She seemed more happy that my son found something he really liked. She also took care of us getting the other ring cleaned. Plus they have an insurance on the ring in case something happens. Everything was explained and was a good experience and good deal. Almost a great deal. But I am a little picky. Still she did a great job. I was impressed with both the quality and the options and the presentation by the sales woman. They can even tailor make your ring now with a computer. That was something I never saw before. I am a real customer service kind of person and believe any company should go out of their way to give excellent service. Helzberg did that. So very well done to...
