OK, so even though I was taught that if you can’t say anything nice, you shouldn’t say anything at all! My view of this establishment is very bad! My friend and I decided to have an early dinner and ended up on a 230 lunch menu. That was not a problem at all quite honestly! The problem started when the server seated us we asked for water immediately and she delivered it. That was about the best part of the service. We were not greeted when we came in with any kind of welcome or “hello” or “have you ever been here before?” The server took us to a booth, and of course brought the water. As she returned, ready to take an order. The server returned to take our order,, but we had to ask for a menu. She stepped away, which was just two steps and grabbed a lunch menu, of course, and stepped away again at this point would’ve been inappropriate time to let us know that they had a lunch menu and a dinner menu and that they were different or to tell us that all you can eat sushi and hibachi. We’re on the menu or any detail details that would’ve been pertinent to the whole thing like you order as you go. And so we were trying to figure out how the menu worked and what was included and what was not as well as the price she returned and so we decided to start with an appetizer. We actually had ordered an order of Goyza And crab Rangoon’s. We ended up with two orders of Rangoon’s the Goyza, Edamame, and then I ordered a crab and cucumber salad that had zero cucumber in it. Well, maybe four slices with a great big lump of crap thrown on top of it. It was supposed to come with Pozo sauce is what it said on the menu but the Ponte sauce was nonexistent. We explained to the owner that we had only ordered one Rangoon and the Goyza And then ordered edamame and edamame had not been brought. He went to get the edamame. My friend and I decided to nibble on the appetizers so it’s not to run that all you can eat sushi. Because the sushi price was like 1699 for all you can eat, but there was a charge of $.60 for each piece that you did not eat. Again, none of that was explained to us. All said and done we didn’t see her until the appetizers were gone and we had to flag her down mind you this server had not said a word to us and acted like she didn’t even want to be there. We ordered four rolls and they were decent. We may have ordered different rolls and I definitely would’ve ordered à la cart sushi had I known that there was another menu that we could’ve ordered off of yes we would’ve had to pay the premium price for the dinner price, but that wasn’t told to us. The lunch sushi menu is more restrictive than the dinner, sushi menu and that’s the difference in the price. I gave them a three on the sushi level because it was just mediocre. It was nothing outstanding. Nothing that I would write home for I wouldn’t talk about going back, but I may have if I would’ve been able to understand that there was an à la cart sushi portion that did not cost additional and it was inclusive in the menu. We were done eating before we went down and read that whole thing so unless you’re ready to read the menu I won’t bother going back at all. It seemed that we were just not important or that it didn’t matter if we were there or not. We left about 315 maybe 330 that day. We left without tipping the staff Did not feel welcome at all at this Clearwater location. The restaurant is a nice location and seems to be a nice place atmosphere was actually affected by the cold service and treatment that we received. We were very polite. There was no reason for somebody not to explain to us what was going on we clearly didn’t know. Asked a few questions and got one word answers not worth my time. Would’ve rather spent my money...

Read moreI have been to this place several times before, and everything was always great. There was never anything to complain about. However, today when I came to eat at the all-you-can-eat buffet, we encountered a young male server who caused some problems.
While we were eating, he asked us more than twice " U want a check?" . I told him to wait until we finished our meal. At that point, I already felt a little annoyed, but I thought it was okay and continued to enjoy the meal with my family. Later, when I went to the restroom, he put the bill on the table while my family was still eating. Seeing that, I put my card on the table.
When he came back, I told him I wanted to order dessert, but he said that because I had already given him my card to pay, I could not order anything else. I explained that I only handed him my card because he had put the bill on the table—I did not request to pay yet. I was still not finished with my meal. I asked him if there was a problem. I had no idea that giving him my card meant I could no longer order anything. If I had known, I would not have handed it over because we were still eating.
Despite telling him I did not want the check, he still brought it and left it on our table while we were eating. He was truly a rude server.
I never give low ratings to any restaurant or place I visit, but today I was genuinely angry with this server. It was a terrible experience that ruined an evening out with my family. 🙁
It’s unfortunate, because I still want to come back to this restaurant, but I hope I won’t encounter that young man...
