Manager Lisa is difficult and KNOWS that I am a regular customer. I have spent thousands of dollars at Michael's and frequent this location at LEAST once a week. I came in today for a Brayer (stamp roller) there was a lock on the rack so I approached her for assistance to unlock the rack. I noticed the Brayer on the rack had clearly been opened and then duck taped back together. Like, not just a little tear or peek-a-boo, the whole plastic casing had come apart, the cardboard was ripped then taped back together, holding the Brayer in place. I told her I'll take it but I'd like a discount as it wasn't in mint condition. She denied me any discount and said I would still have to pay full price. She quoted that the Brayer itself is not damaged so a discount would not apply. I am seriously frustrated because their discount aisle is FULL of items that are marked off simply because of damaged packaging. I am further frustrated because I know the customer that comes after me will have to deal with the same argument. I firmly believe that the manager (Again her name is Lisa wearing a headband and glasses) no less should be aware that items with damaged packaging should not be forced onto customers at full price. As it is not in mint condition and therefore is not and should not be sold...
Read moreThe 2 stars are only because I truly believe that the two ladies who serviced me did all that they could. The problem is that I went through the process of ordering online to pick up in store only to find that they had charged my card for product that they didn't actually have. This happened twice in one day from two different locations. It's obviously a flaw in the process as I was given a confirmation email that my order was being filled only to have later received a cancellation email as they did not have any of the 7 rolls (3 rolls from the 2nd location) of ribbon confirmed online. Granted, a cancellation email was sent sometime the next day, but not one that I saw before driving to the store to pick up my order. Again, none of these things within the control of the ladies working at the store. However, the icing on the cake was to learn that, for both stores, my card had been charged for ribbon that the store did not have and would not return to my card for 24 hours. This is not a good look and a very poor display of customer service for me to have gone through so much effort and end up with no ribbon and my funds not immediately...

IF YOU ENTER THE ART PEN ISLE AT THIS STORE YOU WILL BE FOLLOWED AND WILL BE TREATED LIKE A THEIF.
I SHOP AT THIS LOCATION 3 TIMES A WEEK. I NOTICED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE STAFF FOLLOWING ME. I PICKED UP A VERY EXPENSIVE ART PEN SET TO PURCHASE I WALK THE COMPLETE OUTER PERIMETER OF THE STORE TO SEE IF THEY WOULD FOLLOW. WHEN I REACHED THE FRONT DOOR THERE WAS A CASHIER STANDING DIRECTLY IN THE DOOR WAY BLOCKING THE EXIT. SHE EVEN BLOCKED THE PATH OF CUSTOMERS COMING IN. SHE STRICTLY DIRECTED ME INTO THE LINE. SO I CALLED OUT THE CASHIER AND THE OTHER ASSOCIATES FOR FOLLOWING ME. I WAS ACCUSED OF OPENING A PEN AND WRITING ON THE SHEVES WITH IT. WHAT I WAS DOING WAS TESTING A PUSH PAINT PEN AGAINST A HARD SURFACE TO MAKE SURE THE OPEN PEN WORKED SO I COULD BUY IT. WHEN I SHOWED THE MANAGER WHERE I WAS AND WHAT I WAS DOING HE AGREED I DID NOTHING WRONG. THE ASSOCIATES IN THE PEN AREA JUDGED ME AND TREATED ME LIKE A THEIF. WHEN I HELD THEM ACCOUNTABLE THEY ASKED ME TO LEAVE THE STORE.
THIS IS HOW YOU WILL BE TREATED IN THIS STORE SO...
