Frustrating experience a week or so ago that will keep me from being a returning customer. Food has always been good (only ever gotten boneless grilled wings), but since undertaking new ownership, things have gone downhill quick.
Not only have they gotten rid of the punch card redemption, but they have switched over to Toast, so now waitresses are saddled with bulky tech they carry around with them and hardly know how to use. That's on management for not teaching them the software properly. Visited the day after they implemented it, unbeknownst to us, and in an attempt to use a reward, we were told the software wasn't set up for reward redemption yet. When will it be implemented? "No idea" - manager. We were told to just come back at some random point in the future. No attempt to make up for their lackluster understanding of software they chose to implement. No drinks taken off or anything. Rubbed me the wrong way.
Another issue that arose during the same trip was the purchasing of their Wednesday BOGO boneless wing deal. It used to be bottomless boneless, but with chicken being hard to come by lately, I understand the switch to a more finite amount. However, we were met with (polite) pushback from our waitress, who mentioned the new management (here we go again...) has been cracking down on customers whose intentions are to order one order of BOGO wings, and split the order between two customers. We have done this several times in the past with no issue, and always tip as if we had ordered two orders to make up the difference. That's just a lot of wings for one person (2lbs). This time we were told it literally could not be done.
Not sure how they enforce this with people ordering BOGO carryout wings, so at that point, why enforce it at all? Why allow customers a BOGO when you just police their own order? Burger King of all places says you can "have it your way" for crying out loud. Winghouse's motto should be "we let you know which way you can have it." That's not how you treat customers....
Read moredon’t know what to say. Boneless wings were a mess no breading and tasted microwaved. My wife bit into a boneless wing it had a hard “mass” and felt almost cold in the middle. We stopped eating after that. We sat at the bar and never offered any refills on our beers or new drinks after our initial order. It seemed like everyone was preoccupied with each other instead of the customers. Filthy menus with dried food on them and dirty tables that looked like they were not wiped down today. In fact the people sitting behind us had to take the towels from the bar just to wipe down their table. This other couple was standing at the bar trying to get service while 2 bartenders talked to each other behind the bar. a manager who went behind the bar to grab a clipboard also ignored the couple. After I watched the couple place the order their drinks were delivered to the table still not wiped down. The couple also asked for an ashtray and again had to wait at the bar to be acknowledged by a different manager while the bartender was somewhere else. I’m there to watch college football when they changed the TV to Nickelodeon and the Batman Lego movie. They were not busy at this time so I am not sure how there can be so many missed opportunities with the amount of managers I saw walking around. Coming from the restaurant business myself I understand that no shift is perfect but these flaws borderline on not caring about the product at all. So to say the least unimpressed won’t be giving it another shot. It used to be a great to place hang out and enjoy a few...
Read more3-star review is an average between the food and service. Food was 5 star, service was 1 star. Seated and visited by our waitress within a couple minutes. Ordered 2 Vodka Red Bulls. Waited 10 mins. Manager brought then out finally. Ordered food. Finished my $11 one ounce pour. Waited another 15 mins for her to come to the table with our appetizers. Decided I didn't want to wait 15 minutes between visits, so I told her to bring another round of drinks, to go boxes and the check when the wings came out. Wings came out and I didn't get any of the sauce I ordered. I had asked if I could get boneless wings, half one sauce, half another. She was adamant that wouldn't happen. Customers were seated behind us and overheard them order wings half and half, just like I had ordered and their waitress told them, they normally don't do that, but they would for her. Really??? Once our wings arrived, with no sauce, our waitress was QUICK to get our drinks (literally out within 3 mins), had boxes, lids for sauces after I finally got them and the check. She then showed up within 5 minutes to take our payment. We weren't in a hurry, I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to wait 15 mins between her showing up to our table. The place is not busy AT ALL considering it's Spring Break. I'm an HR manager for 6 ice cream stores on the Gulf and would have to have a serious talk with this girl or else take the chance of losing even more business. No wonder there are so many to go orders! Food is great!...
