9-24-25. I have been going to this location for 2.5 Years, always greet welcoming service, food and drinks. So much so to when my friends visit from out of State, I recommend and or take them here. I have gone doing the day and in the evenings.
Tonight was the worst service ever. I arrived a little after 8pm. No bartender, then person comes and starts taking stuff off bartender I ask are you closing? She said "no at 9" so why are u removing everything from bar.. then someone comes and I tell her I want to order the house margarita on the rocks with tajin. After a few min, I ask her for chips.. Because in all of the 2 years plus that I have been going to this restaurant the minute I sit down before I even order a drink they come out with chips and salsa and then she came from around the bar and looked at me and said are you gonna order food I said no I'm just gonna get drinks I said but I always get chips and salsa and she's like but are you gonna order food and then she says oh well the kitchen closes at 9 o'clock I said well I've always come here and I've always gotten free sauce and chips and so then she reluctantly said oh okay I'll get you some salsa and chips wow really..
Not once asking me do I ever need anything or want anything the other lady that was at the bar like a bar made she didn't look up she didn't say nothing she was very robotic it was terrible and then the bartender or manager I don't you know who she was awaiting on me her friend came in and she was busy pouring him shots never asked me anything and then I had to ask for my second drink and then after that I was just like can I get my check the service was absolutely terrible I'm so exhausted with these restaurants overcharging overpricing for everything and give The bare minimum if not that of service as if they are doing you a favor it's my money and I choose how I spend it and I think I'm gonna give them a break because the service tonight was Terrible as if I was coming in and that were closed it was 805 why are you cleaning everything up and you can't even give me salsa and chips and then she's like oh yeah if you come on taco Tuesday it's free sauce and chips I said I've been coming here for Uber 2 and a 1/2 years and I've not come on taco Tuesday or any other time and I always get free sauce and chips it's not like you had to cook...
Read moreTequila's has a very nice atmosphere, dark yet welcoming. Lots of dark wood, lantern style lighting, a Myan/Aztec inspired paneling section and several original looking paintings and artwork. The booths and tables were comfortable and tastefully styled. The bathrooms were clean and continued with the dark wooden motif. There were three sectioned areas. A bar area, a common dining area and towards the back a small, more secluded area with two romantic couples tables. Though the rear exit leading to parking does diminish the romantic feel a bit. We were served chips and a mildly spicy salsa immediately and chose the guacamole dip (decent) as an appetizer. The grandson had chicken tenders with fries and apple juice, my wife had the quesadilla dinner with grilled chicken and I had the trio fajitas. My wife chose Moscato wine and I had Mexican draft beer (I can't remember the name) which was pale, slightly hoppy and cloudy like a hefeweizen, both of which were very good. All the meals were excellent, though the fajita meats were a bit on the dry side. We dined on a Friday and the east-west access to Cleveland Street was blocked with what seemed to be a weekend blockade (similar to St. Petersburg's first Friday perhaps?) We found parking street side on fort Harrison with no pay parking meters, I assume for weekends only. We did learn later there was parking at the rear of the building if we would have gone down to the next street and turned left (rear entrance - see above). Service staff were pleasant and welcoming. Prices were slightly higher than the average Mexican restaurant. Overall very pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. Only failed to achieve a five-star due to the dry meat, the grandson finding a bit of old tortilla shell under the table and the fact that I rarely give five stars. We will definitely...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant at lunch on a Sunday before any rush. Walked in the front door a smell of mold & water damage hit us, which should of been a cue to turn around and leave. I decided to give them a chance. They were empty only 2 tables were seated by customers. I thought good no rush the service will be good (boy was I wrong). The host was no where to be found. Few minutes go bye finally we get seated. The waiter takes our drink order real simple beverage order five minutes to get it. Waiter drops off beverages then he vanishes. He doesn't appear until 7 minutes later. We give him our order very easy order. We have to ask for drink, chips, salsa refills several times during our wait. Mind you 45 minutes later we finally get our food. 2 out of 3 orders were wrong. The waiter argues with my wife about what she ordered. Cheese enchiladas instead of chicken. We sent back the food, and mind you these are silly mistakes for the waiter to make, but quick and easy fixes. So it took 10 minutes for the first order (replace a side with another) 15 minutes for my wifes order to come out (chicken to cheese Enchiladas). My wife's Enchiladas & rice had no favor. My Mole Enchiladas were good after they fixed the problem. The salsa & chips were good. No meat in either orders to have to fix so, no excuse for the legth of time of wait. Then when mistake were fixed no apologies. Nothing! Bill came out no there was no manager with apologies. Nothing! We left! My wife got sick & vomited in the Walgreens down the street. Later that day I had diarrhea. Yeah not good. Bad service... Bad food... Very disappointed! I wanted it to be good. I love Mexican food. Pinellas County needs good authentic mexican food with fresh...
