First Watch Clemmons gets 3 stars from me because of the convenience the location to me, and because the staff was very friendly. I ordered carry out, and the wait time wasn't long. I ordered the Bacado omelet, million dollar bacon, and cheese grits. The omelet is supposed to be served with a side of sour cream, and pico de gallo. The food was cold and stiff, and the omelet did not have the pico. The omelet wasn't fluffy. It was flat, dry, cold, and so old that the ends were brown and the avocado was black. The grits were cold, dry, and hard. The million dollar bacon was actually greasy and limp. I was so disappointed and plain let down. I couldn't force myself to eat that awful food and I wound up throwing it all out. I've eaten at the First Watch on Stratford and was very satisfied. I have a sister visiting town for the first time since 2019, and I had been telling her about how good the food is at First Watch. We visited the Clemmons location because it's closer to my home. I was so embarrassed because this food was nothing like I'd described to my sister. This food was plain awful. Thankfully, my sister's food was hot and seemed fresh. She ordered the Works omelet. Her omelet was hot and fluffy and fresh. I can't give the Clemmons location 5 stars because of the food. I will stick with the Stratford road location should I decide to visit First Watch in the future. I don't want to take another chance on the...
Read moreHad brunch here for the first time today, and to say that I was impressed would be an understatement. It was a very good sign that they were absolutely slammed, and the meal was without question worth the wait. The restaurant is gorgeous and very clean and inviting, and the staff here is friendly and attentive - we were regularly checked on to make sure we were enjoying our experience. Even something as simple as the coffee was really delicious and a great way to start the meal, and the variety of creamers available on the table was much appreciated. Really good iced coffee as well. The food was likewise incredible! I got the lemon ricotta pancakes and an order of million dollar potatoes, and everything was phenomenal. The lemon curd on the pancakes was delicious and so fresh tasting, and played well against the fresh berries and the perfectly cooked pancakes. The syrup was excellent - warm and very flavorful, but not exceedingly sweet. Just right, honestly. The potatoes were probably the best breakfast potatoes I've had in a restaurant: well seasoned, and the cheese sauce and bacon were wonderful additions to something that, at first glance, didn't really need improvement. I left full and really pleased with the experience... I'll definitely be back to try some lunch options...
Read moreWriting this review because this is the third mediocre meal that we've had and thought it was time to post a review. We had breakfast this morning at 9:50am. The service was excellent. One complaint was that there were plenty of empty tables and they sat customers way too close together. We were on top of one another towards the end of our meal. Now the food issues. One meal was the Healthy Turkey which was simply turkey lunchmeat stuffed inside a bland egg white omelet. The omelet was just warm, no seasoning. Finally had a chance to ask for a side of pico. When returned to the table I'm guessing it was about about teaspoon which hardly helped with flavor and come on, pico is cheap. The server even looked at it and asked if that was okay? Also ordered one pancake to try. It was very good but it was also barely warm by the time it was served. The second meal was Smoked Salmon and Vegetable Frittata. It was okay but the mixed green salad that was requested had old lettuce mixed in with it. Ordered the side of potatoes and most were burnt. Who wants to eat burnt potatoes with their meal? The kitchen staff should know better. First Watch has always been one of our favorite places for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Just tired of the quality of...
