Seriously the best pizza I have ever ate! 😋 The amazing parts: THE CRUST... is thin but not hard. I tried eating it serveal different ways (folding, normal, fork) and all the ways were perfection. THE INGREDIENTS: Top knotch ingredients! I dislike oily, greasy pizza and usually pizza places like this have greasy pizza I'm thinking due to their lower quality ingredients. Although I didn't find that to be the case. The ingredients and taste took me straight to Italy! THE DESERTS: my favorite was the cannoli extra pistachios crusted on the ends and not overly sweet paired well with the pizza. I couldn't help but eat it before the pizza! Oops SPEEDY: the pizzas are perfectly thin so our order came out within 5-7 minutes just enough time to get settled in our seats and we had our food! THE AMBIENCE: soft Italian instrumental music added to the feel of being in Italy! Cute outside eating with umbrellas to keep you shaded. Open kitchen so you can see the awesome ovens! Huge amazing wooden picnic like tables great for large families and perfect for distancing youreself from others.
SELF SERVE: I like how they have the boxes ready for you to pick up when you're taking your food home. If you somehow don't eat it all! They even have ready to go frozen pizzas for when you want the deliciousness for tonight or later in the week!
Overall the best experience I've had with pizza!
THINGS I WOULD FIX: I feel the cashier was less than wanting to be there. She didn't have an attitude per say she just seemed to lack the enthusiasm of this delicious resturaunt! I guess we're all different I just believe in over the top customer service with a smile and not every place will have this. It's not something that would keep me from coming back 3...
Read moreThe Cugino Forno Clemmons Experience (Online Order/Pick-up Edition). I have driven by Cugino Forno when leaving the gym and have wanted to try them out. So on this day, I went online and placed my order through their website. Unfortunately, their online system does not allow you to remove or substitute items when ordering or provide complete ingredients descriptions.
I ordered their Supremo Italiano lunch pizza (San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Ham, Bufala Mozzarella, Fresh Basil) and a Lecce Salad (Fresh Spring Mix, Cherry Tomatoes, Bufala Mozzarella, Chick Peas, Carrots, Homemade Ranch Sauce). After placing my order online, I arrived at the designated pickup time. Upon arriving, my food was ready.
I asked for parmesan cheese and oil, and vinegar. The guy providing my food suggested I take a hot oil to go with my meal. So, while I was interacting with the staff member, another worker was mean mugging me from the back (if you don't know what mean-mugging is, look it up, lol). Once home, my food was delicious. The HOT OIL with my food (pizza and salad) was so tasty. Yes, it was spicy, but I am never afraid of a bit of spice. I loved the texture of the salad with the added Chick Peas.
Would I go back to Cugino Forno again? Yes, I would go to Cugino Forno again. However, I will not place my order online. Their website is not user-friendly, but the pizza is delicious and fresh. YES, it is a little pricy, but it is not your regular pizza, and I can tell staff put their heart and soul into the dough and their craft. Hopefully, next time I go, I will not get the stare down...
Read moreGod so average. I’ll just never get what some people see about this place. I’ve been thee times basically because a few months will go by and I’ll forget the last time I was there and how so average the food Was. The crust is the only thing good about this pizza. Other than that every pizza has very little cheese and just traces of sauce. Sauce makes the pizza! If you can’t taste the sauce, you have bland pizza. I had the Italian this past week and all I could taste is sausage.
Don’t even get me started on the rough semi-sandpaper rolls of hand paper which is their form of napkins. I’d rather wipe my mouth with actual sandpaper.
You may have to drive a bit since there’s very few pizza options around but certainly better options if you take a 20 minutes drive down towards WS.
Go back to fake Italy or have the sense to change up a few...
