Went to pick up a Doordash order this afternoon and was informed that the customer had called the store before my arrival to cancel the order. No big deal. But, due to business protocol, since the customer did not cancel the order through the Doordash app, DD support needed to call IHOP and verify the cancellation. The woman who was working at the counter refused to relay this information to DD support when they called, thus making it impossible for me to move on to my next order. When I tried to explain the situation to her, and that I needed her to confirm the order was in fact cancelled, with my employer, she became irate, and literally argued with me in a condescending manner in front of several other staff. Smirking, cutting me off, talking over me, and repeating the same nonsensical garbage until I was seconds away from losing my mind. The level of stupidity was otherworldly and almost comedic.
During this ordeal, the general manager (who I believe said his name was Arturo) overheard the conversation, and quickly came to listen and assist me without any problems. He was extremely polite and understanding, and managed to solve the issue in a matter of minutes. As well as insisting I receive a drink, and a free meal for my troubles. 100% turnaround from the god-awful experience I had with the woman, who's name I unfortunately did not take note of. I am going to assume she was either a cashier or assistant manager, as she was not wearing the same attire as the servers.
I will definitely come back to this location solely based on the kindness and respect I received from Arturo. He's a real stand up guy, and the reason I'll be giving 5 stars. As for the psychopath cave-troll lady, I'd rather be force-fed broken glass & hot sauce than have to deal with her miserable attitude ever again. I give her -5...
Read moreWent to IHOP store#3204 tonight to eat with my daughter. Say for a while with no one coming to the table . Finally someone acknowledged us and took our drink order. He brought the drinks . We still did not have silverware which he said he would bring . Then we placed our order, it took forever to get food . When we finally did get food , we still had no silverware. He said he would bring it right back . Then my daughter saw him at the front walking back and forth and then waited on someone else that was a pick up order. Still had no silverware. Eggs getting cold! No one likes cold eggs!! I finally called on a different server to please get silverware for us. Cold food by this time ! Then my daughter starts to eat the fish she ordered and it is not cooked through. So I call on the same lady that helped us with silverware. She apologized and said I’ll try to get the manager to come out and we will take care of of this . My daughter then said she sees the manager looking at us from the kitchen area but she never comes over to acknowledge the food error. The original server we had brings the dish back out but with none of the sides that came with it . Then expected me to pay the entire bill . May I suggest you hire a new person that actually has management skills and would have the decency to come out and at least apologize and not hide around the corner staring at the customers. That is completely ridiculous! I will not be returning to this location and will be sure to let others know my experience here. . I work in customer service and would not leave a customer hanging like that . The right thing to do here was to take the fish dinner off the ticket and for the manager to show her face and not be a coward. This was one of my favorite places to eat breakfast food...
Read moreIf I could leave this as a 0 star I would. We went on Mother’s Day and the whole overall experience was awful. Walked in and they told us the wait would be around 10 minutes, that’s fine! We waited for 30 minutes patiently before we were sat. They put our party or 6 in a 4 top booth while they had a party of 4 at an 8 top (sat at the same time as us). We looked around at the empty tables and watched as they sat a young couple with their baby (who was in a car seat) get squeezed into a 2 top where there was no room for their baby all while they seated a dad and his child at a 4 top booth. We waited for our waitress for around 10 minutes to take our drink order, my mom asked about a cold brew where the waitress said it was bad and not to get it, and then my sister tried to order a milkshake and she said there was no icecream… but then they were magically milkshakes given out way after. We went ahead and placed our food order at the same time. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks, all while another person sat, ordered food, and gotten their drink and food while we still waited. We got our drinks (finally!), but did not complain. It was when someone at our table asked our waitress for a refill and she literally let out a loud sign and eye roll that we were starting to get irritable. After she brought the refill, she explained our food was being worked on. After waiting another hour, we decided to check with the manager who then told us that they would start our order (start???!!). The manager did not care and tried to blame it on them having two kitchens. Needless to say, we never got our food after waiting for around 2 hours. It was the first time we have ever walked out of restaurant. We will...
