I am writing this review and support of the staff at the planet fitness here in Clermont. I've noticed that some have taken it upon themselves to personally attack some of the staff there. I think this is totally unnecessary and shouldn't be done. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful all the time. It is a pleasure to be a member of this facility and I believe most would agree those who typically have negative things to say are usually the ones that do not like to obey the rules and the policies of the facility. I say this not talking about anybody in particular but just because I've witnessed things that they've had to deal with. The manager of the place Amanda is always very respectful and inviting and I know that she requires her staff to be the same way.... Okay enough with my rant I do have one issue with the plaza that I have mentioned several times to the staff and I've even contacted the plaza and that is the handicap parking for the facility for a building that holds as many people as it does at one time there is only two handicap spots and it seems like some people are taking advantage of the parking that don't need to be parking there This I have witnessed myself several times I've even notified the local police department on a few occasions conveniently the state of Florida only requires you have one license plate on your car so people like to back into spots so if somebody does drive by they can't see if they have a handicap plate or not and they do not have a placard hanging from their rear view mirror All I am saying is if the shoe fits wear it and don't go blaming other people if you can't follow the simple rules and the laws I will continue to do my due diligence and if I see somebody that don't need to be parked in that spot I will notify the local...

I cancelled Feb. 10th, before the required date to not be charged for February, and they said my account never "synced", but they will get it taken care of "right away". Flash forward to Feb. 21st, I got charged again. Called the store, and was told the old GM quit, and must have forgotten to take care of my account before leaving, but I will be refunded for Feb. - $26.86. Between the 21st and March 1st, I called 6 times to verify my account was taken care of and that a refund was given, and every time to get told that the GM was going to take care of it. Now, March 1st, I got charged AGAIN for the annual fee of $53. So now, not only have they not successfully cancelled my account almost a month later, they also have charged me almost $80 since cancelling. The only thing the GM can say is "if you get a charge, we can refund you". Okay, so where is my refund from February? You charged me again, before even refunding me from your previous mistake. It is not okay to say, "it's the back end were waiting on to fix your account" and turn around and continue to charge me. Absolutely horrendous, 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Read moreI am sharing this as my friend had an incident I witnessed, and it made me uncomfortable as well. She noticed a woman recording in the locker room. She addressed with an employee that this was uncomfortable, and the employee stated nothing can be done because no one is in her camera recording and that each gym makes exceptions. This isn't accurate as not only does planet fitness policy state you can't record video or take photos in the locker room. It also states directly with corporate the following
"No, each individual Planet Fitness location cannot make exceptions to the company's strict policy prohibiting recording in the locker rooms; the policy is enforced uniformly across all Planet Fitness gyms, meaning no local manager can allow recording in the locker room, even in special circumstances. "The policy is set by the Planet Fitness corporate office and applies to all gyms in the chain. "
So how is this lady allowed to record my friend and others in the locker room. Someone will eventually be in her line of sight and be in her social media video. I reviewed my gym policy that I completed when I signed up last year and nowhere does it state that I will be recorded or filmed in the locker room.
