Swig — Local services in Clermont

We arrived in line, ordered, and tried to use our rewards balance to pay for our order (we have reward points because we’ve been swig customers for years in another state). The girl taking our order in line didn’t know how to apply rewards points so she radioed for help. No one responded, so she called over her coworker who also didn’t know how to use rewards points. They sent us to the window to pay. When we arrived at the window, at first they forgot to charge us but after we told them they still had to charge us, the person at the window also didn’t know how to apply rewards points. I asked her if she applied the rewards points and she said “you don’t have any”. Then I showed her our balance of reward points and she said “oh I just read it wrong, it’s already applied” and charged our card. She handed us back our card but not a receipt so I asked for a receipt. She handed it off and walked away from the window. I checked the receipt and she didn’t use our rewards points (she was just lying about it being already applied), so we waited for her to come back and then said “hey you didn’t apply the rewards points, can you please fix this? You said we were using our rewards points”. She took the receipt and said “Sorry, I didn’t apply it” and handed it back to us. We asked if she could just ask a supervisor how to use reward points so they could fix their mistake and she got really impatient with us and talked to a supervisor who didn’t want to come over to the window to talk to us. The supervisor kept telling the girl at the window to tell us to just use the reward points next time (which is not okay because the only reason we didn’t use them is because she lied to us about them being applied. What about this experience would make us want to come back again???) and the girl at the window kept saying “I already told them that!” loud enough for us to hear her. The supervisor finally came to the window, visibly frustrated that she had to do her job as a supervisor and said there was nothing she could do because we had already paid. Finally a manager came up to the window and said “What’s going on?” We explained the situation and he said “For three dollars? Huh. Fine. I’ll refund you and then charge you for the rewards points and the remaining balance to your card.”

At this point we really did not trust them to be able to process a refund correctly without double charging us because at this point 6 different employees had not known how to use their POS enough to use rewards points in a transaction, we had been charged the incorrect amount, and been lied to multiple times. He said it was our fault for not applying the points in the line when we ordered and we had to explain that we were specifically told to come to the window by both of the line workers because they didn’t know how to apply rewards points and then he said “Well what do you want?” And we just asked for a refund.

He finally gave it but was incredibly rude. It was a wildly bad display of customer service from all six employees we interacted with, one of which was a supervisor and one of which was a manager. I understand employees not knowing everything immediately when a new franchise opens but you have to compensate for that with the occasional refund when your barely trained employees make mistakes and charge people the wrong amount. We will never be coming back. You can’t just say “it’s only $3” as an excuse for not needing to fix mistakes if your product...

I'm really glad this place has come to Clermont; they offer great drink options. However, this is the second time I've been to this location, and after informing them of my dairy allergy, I was told that the coconut cream creamer is dairy-free. It's important to note that "dairy-free" and "non-dairy" are not the same thing. The coconut cream creamer they use actually contains a milk derivative, which can be dangerous for people with a dairy allergy. While it might be fine for someone with lactose intolerance, the two conditions are quite different, and a milk derivative like casein can trigger a serious reaction for those with a true dairy allergy.

The employee at the window today told me that he was instructed by his manager to tell customers it was dairy-free, so I kindly suggested they do more research on the ingredients.

For labeling purposes, "dairy-free" means the product contains no dairy ingredients whatsoever, including milk or milk derivatives like casein or whey. I recently visited Swig and had a delightful experience with their drinks, which I absolutely loved. The variety they offer is impressive, and the ability to customize each drink to my liking made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're in the mood for something fruity, fizzy, or creamy, Swig has got you covered with endless options to mix and match flavors.

On the downside, I encountered a bit of a hiccup with my mobile order. I had ordered a Dragonada and a cup of pretzels ahead of time, hoping for a quick pick-up. While my order was ready when I arrived, I found myself stuck waiting in the drive-through line for about 20 minutes. By the time I reached the window, my pretzels were no longer warm, which was a bit disappointing.

To improve this aspect of their service, I suggest Swig consider implementing a dedicated mobile order pick-up window or area. This would streamline the process for customers who have pre-ordered and ensure that items like pretzels remain fresh and warm upon collection.

Overall, despite the wait, my experience at Swig wasn't too bad. The quality and customization of the drinks certainly made up for the minor inconvenience, and I look forward to...
