PDQ Clermont — Restaurant in Clermont

I heard of PDQ for a while and decided to bring my wife out for a date night to this spot. Heard about the chicken being really good from relatives and online reviews so I thought I would try this place out. We stepped inside it was practically empty with the exception of a couple employees sitting at the counter. The young girl at the front took our order with accuracy no problem. She gave us our receipt and our cups right after. Then this is the part where I get skeptical. Right after we get our cups we head for the fountain machine to fill them up but as we were not even halfway there mid-walk a gentleman called out my name for the order and handed our food. This was not even 2 minutes after we made our order. We got our food quick sure that’s not a bad thing but i noticed I didn’t get the extra sauce I ordered which was clearly on the ticket once we sat down. I had to ask for it from the young lady who took our order. Upon returning to our table my wife and myself start digging in to our chicken sandwiches. I had the Hawaiin and she had the crispy chicken both had fries with it. We both agreed that our sandwiches were good just too small for the price we paid for which came to $17. On top of that our fries were stale and you could tell they weren’t fresh. Even the extra sauce I ordered couldn’t make them taste better. I went to the drive thru and ordered a grilled Buffy blu sandwich before my very long overnight shift for work. Once I got to work I decided to eat my sandwich first. I noticed the chicken was not grilled. I called the restaurant that I went to to inform them thinking they would just take my name down and I could come back another time. But instead the manager Robert said he would deliver me a new sandwich! Robert went above and beyond to correct the minor issue and I think he deserves to be recognized for his great actions. My family and I has started going to pdq way more frequently within the past two months and enjoy it way more than the competitor Chick-fil-A. I have never had someone from a restaurant go the extra mile and deliver me my correct order! Pdq has absolutely won us over as a family will continue to keep coming to the restaurant as frequent as we have been (2-3 times a week). My husband and I went again for lunch 8/21/2020 and used one Out of my Two free meal coupons that Robert also gave me. As we finished eating it began pouring. We sat and tried to wait the storm over but decided to go ahead and head out. There was a very nice kid who walked me out to my truck with an umbrella. I did not get his name, but it was 3:30pm. I would offer or even love to offer a 5 star rating but after going in today on military Monday and having been told I could not have the 25 tenders platter that I have probably purchased 16 other military Monday’s I assumed it was a change of policy. So accepting that they were trying to help me with my New Year’s resolutions I just got an 8 dollar salad and after discount it would be 4 and I was paying with a gift card. I was very surprised to hear the balance remaining was 1.86. I asked how that could be. Apparently the gift card was applied first and my discount was on the remaining balance. So instead of getting a card with a couple dollars remaining I owed. I don’t want to sound ungrateful as for the military discount is the best thing I’ve seen anywhere and I’ve highly recommended even look forward to seeing seeing them on the first Monday of the month to get my 25 piece chicken tenders. The chicken tenders are good probably better than any of the competitors and the sauce all taste homemade so I really look forward to military Monday. After today’s experience I doubt I will go back.
