Ripoff - The place is wrong and food has no quality. Most of it seems like they got food from can or store bought. There is no cook at that place. I hope they close or revamp there cooking level to resturant level. Plates were broken, and they are not interested to serve customers. Prices high and most of the food taste like Indian. Roasted Butternut Bisque (GF) - blob bowl ( taste like paste of swetpotato) Curry Lentil Vegetable Soup (GF) (this taste like Indian sambar mix than what they claim - cold can food mixed with cilantro) Japanese Curry - I don't know where learned to cut vegetables- it tasted something but again just same as above Bangkok Tacos - my kids ate them .. I did not. but.. I think they put califlowers bites from appetizer in a taco & put sauce on top.. again taco was not cooked & dorm taco) Sha Cha Stir-fry Noodles - this is worst taken noodles.. no bokchoy or any kind of vegetables. They just cooked Raman noodles and put them on top of was savor thin noodles and placed 3 cut bokchoy around) Macha tea and hibiscus tea bag(lukewarm water :-( asian comeon.... ) - ok, my kids never drank green tea so.. they cud have enjoyed the flavor.. Each dish is between $6 - $16. They place looks like Closet cue, Utensils are broken, food is horrible. Not sure where they are spending all the money they get. Use the wok & fry vegetables & noodles.. it will be more worthful. The person serving us thinks we were stupid to eat there.. well!!!. We don't have too money just trying enjoy a dinner - I just wanted well cooked food which...
Read moreI am a long-time Cleveland Heights resident but new (2 mos.) to a strictly plant-based diet. Although I believe I had heard about Foodhisattva opening within the last year, I kind of disregarded it until I was recently reminded about it.....when it happened to be more relevant to me. I think I was missing out, even before I stopped eating meat & dairy. For my first time there today, I had the Chick'n Katsu Sando and it was very satisfying and delicious. The chick'n cutlet (.....cutlet may not be the best word because it was thicker & larger than most cutlets....) was breaded and fried to perfection. That was topped with lettuce, tomato, a vegan 'mayo', a sort of ketchup, and a pickle slice....all on a sesame seed bun. Was the chick'n indistinguishable from chicken? No, but almost....and, frankly, with all the crunchy, saucy goodness going on in that sandwich, I didn't care. (I think a meat eater would still find it very satisfying.) - Can't wait to try some of their...
Read moreThis homey little spot in Cleveland Heights serves wonderfully creative, great tasting food with Asian roots. It's fusion at it's best. We've indulged in every dish on the menu, I think, and a good number of weekly specials, where the chef takes advantage of the best seasonal food available at the time. Heard the menu is changing seasonally, and we're super excited about that. But if you are there when the cheesesteak is on the menu, get it! The cauliflower bites are breaded perfectly. The salad has an incredible carrot-ginger dressing, the tacos are well-balanced. We have friends who live for the nachos. The chicken sando has wowed meat-eaters. All the food is packed with layers of flavor---and that includes dessert! Save room to enjoy the baker's weekly creations. The desserts tend to be lightly sweetened (Yay!) and are absolutely divine. Our only regrets about this place are that we don't have bigger stomachs or live closer. It's worth our 1...
