We stopped into Corbo’s the other week after church for a cannoli and it occurred to me that I hadn’t written a review from our wedding back in October 2022 yet! Let me begin with, Corbo’s bakery is still unmatched, to this current day. We devoured our cannolis and practically inhaled the cookies we also got, because everything here is 🤌🏼💋 Valerie is also still the sweet, caring, boss babe she was at our cake tasting back in ‘22! Which, let me tell youuu, we went to some cake tastings prior to Corbo’s and wow, did every single one of those bakeries miss the mark, in every way - customer service, presentation, taste, you name it. But not Corbo’s! They nailed every aspect of the experience. Valerie gave us an actual full slice of each cake flavor, whatever beverages we wanted to accompany our experience, napkins, forks and an iPad with cake designs and let us just enjoy the experience at a table off in the corner. Every piece of cake, delectable! The designs, exquisite! Valerie’s care and attentiveness, spectacular! We opted for a two tier cake - cassata on the bottom layer, chocolate raspberry on the top and in between the two layers -MINI CANNOLIS 🥹 This was our favorite part of wedding planning tbh. The delivery and set up of our cake was perfection. Everything was immaculate. I still get tears in my eyes thinking about our wedding cake! And people still tell us to this day how much they loved it, how delicious, how beautiful, how the cannoli was next level. We could not thank Corbo’s enough for being an integral part of our wedding! And we want to thank them for continuing to serve up the best bakery around, so much so that we’re more than willing to drive 45 minutes from home when we want a...
Read moreCorbo's Bakery holds a special place in my heart, and it's the only place I trust for sweets and cakes for family parties and events. From childhood memories to present-day trips for cookies, Corbo's has consistently surpassed all expectations. Their Cassata cake is my ultimate weakness.
Growing up, a trip to Corbo's was always a treat, and their party trays creations became an integral part of my life's celebrations. Whether it was a birthday, holiday, or just a craving for something sweet, Corbo's always pulled through (even for last minute things).
Now, as I am planning my wedding, there was no question in my mind as to who would create our dream wedding cake. The cake tasting experience at Corbo's was memorable (and delicious). From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, making us feel like vip guests. They gave coffee and had so many options (making it hard to pick as everything was fantastic).
What truly sets Corbo's apart is their commitment to hospitality. It's not just about the baked goods; it's about the genuine care and attention they shower upon each customer. Every visit to Corbo's feels like coming home, welcomed by familiar faces and the comforting smell of freshly baked cookies. With so many choices out there, Corbo's Bakery is constantly showing people why they should be the only choice. Giving them just five stars feels like selling them short. Can’t recommend...
Read moreI just want to get this one tiny thing out there first...the coffee is AWFUL! The coffee should complement the amazing pastries, not detract from them. I confess that we get coffee from the place down the street before we stop in at Corbo's for the pastries.
Anyway...
I've been getting cannolis from Corbo's since we moved to Ohio in 1998, the same year I had my son. In fact I demanded their cannolis specifically when I was in the hospital after giving birth to my son. I nearly went into a post-birth hormonal rage when I found that one of my preciouses had been stolen from the fridge. Then again, I couldn't fault another mother her post-birth hormonal rage if she didn't get one too.
Corbos has just become the anticipated and trusted place to stop every birthday, Mother's Day, Passing Through Little Italy Day, Craving Day, and I'm Sure National Cannoli Day is Soon Day. The cannolis are the best; fresh, creamy, cruncy, not too sweet. We also indulge in the lemon squares, pecan bars (so freaking good), cream horns and whatever else our cravings...
