The Hope Lodge is a gift from GOD!! It's run by the American Cancer Society and donations (there is a wish list on Amazon of things they are always in need of). In April of this year my husband was diagnosed with a rare type of Leukemia along with a rare type of mutated chromosome. It's a place where patient's undergoing treatment (for cancer), their families and caregivers can stay for free. Yes FREE!! It's beautiful and relaxing, it's comfortable and inviting. The staff there is way above amazing. They are aware that you are dealing with a very difficult situation which has completely changed your life, forever. I could go on and on with praises for the people, the place and everyone involved in making it as close as possible to a home away from home. We were driving an hour and a half each way daily when someone recommended Hope Lodge to us. It is only a 4 minute walk from the UH Seidman Cancer Center. It has lessened the stress for the both of us immensely. I can't believe how wonderful this place is. They have community kitchens and dining areas, a living room where you can sit and socialize with others or just read or watch television. There is a small library with a nice assortment of books. And even a small work out room and...
