Grumpy's Cafe is a fun and eclectic brunch spot that caters to visitors and locals alike. The eatery is decorated with regional art and complimented with bright colors. They do still have clear partitions to provide some separation between guest which I think patrons appreciate. The staff was great. I appreciated the interaction they had with as well as the guests around me. Cleveland Burger week enticed me to make my first visit to Grumpy's. They offered a burger topped with pulled pork, bacon, and a slice of pineapple. I thought this was a unique combination but was leary of how all the flavors would meld together. I was pleasantly surprised how each topping complimented the other. The spice of the pulled pork was balanced by the sweetness and slight crunch of pineapple while the bacon added a little punch of salt. I have to say that the topping as what make this burger. Unfortunately Grumpy's uses a preformed (likely frozen) patty for the burger. It's oblong shape created voids in the bun. The was cooked through out and juices spilled with each bite. The bacon was also undercooked and floppy. I'm not picky about my bacon, but it did feel a tad bit underdone. If you like crispy bacon, be sure to request it. I also order a side of their Cajun home fries and a cold brew coffee to drink. The cold brew was good and complimented the meal well. The cold brew wasn't particularly smooth, but it wasn't bitter either. The potatoes however were fabulous and we're actually the highlight of the meal. They were nicely cooked on the inside and had that wonderful buttery crunch on the edges. The Cajun seasoning was not over powering and brought a bright and yet another contrasting flavor to the plate. Definitely get the Cajun home fries. Overall I was happy with my visit to Grumpy's. I wouldn't say that I would visit Grumpy's specifically for a burger again, but based on the quality of the potatoes, cold brew, and the other menu items, I do look forward to a return visit for their breakfast fare. If you're local to the area, definitely stop by. If you're visiting I would put Grumpy's on...

Nestled in one of Cleveland’s most eclectic neighborhoods, Grumpy’s Cafe is a delightful contradiction to its name. On my recent visits, I was greeted not with grumpiness, but with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it clear why this spot is beloved by locals.

From the moment you walk in, the charm of Grumpy’s is evident. The decor is an eclectic mix that perfectly mirrors the vibrant neighborhood outside. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels familiar, like a favorite old sweater or a well-loved book.

The food is nothing short of fantastic. On both occasions, my son and I were more than satisfied with our meals. The menu offers a variety of hearty, delicious options at reasonable prices, making it easy to enjoy a great meal without breaking the bank. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic breakfast or something with a bit more flair, Grumpy’s has you covered.

But what truly sets Grumpy’s apart is the service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, ensuring our coffee cups were never empty and our needs were promptly met. Her warm demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.

Places like Grumpy’s Cafe remind me why I’m grateful to live in Cleveland. It’s inclusive, welcoming, and affordable—a true community spot where everyone can feel at home. If you’re looking for a place that offers great food and a cozy, inviting atmosphere, Grumpy’s Cafe is...

We stayed in Cleveland for one day after some time in Columbus, eager to experience something special. Our visit to Grumpy's, fueled by great reviews, was nothing short of fulfilling. This charming café showcases vibrant artwork celebrating the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, creating an atmosphere brimming with creativity. The service was exceptional and lighthearted!

My wife savored her Pulled Pork Boxty, a true signature favorite that delighted her palate with its house-marinated pulled pork on a potato pancake, slaw, cheddar, and a drizzle of chipotle BBQ.

My youngest daughter (11) relished the Meatloaf Melt, featuring Grumpy's meatloaf on house-baked grilled rye with Swiss cheese and a side of gravy—comfort food that warmed her heart.

I chose the Fancy Schmancy Burger, a remarkable creation that left me in awe. With a 1/2 lb. beef burger topped with generous strips of bacon, Swiss and cheddar cheese, and a dippy egg on a pretzel bun, it was a feast worth celebrating!

Lastly, my oldest daughter (13), a true mac and cheese aficionado, found joy in Grumpy's version, her second favorite ever! The "Make Your Mac" option, with cavatappi noodles in a rich cheddar-parm cream sauce and her choice of chicken and bacon, brought her immense happiness. Each dish reminded us that culinary experiences can be both delicious...

Grumpy's is the name but the staff was anything but that. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and accommodating. We were seated quickly and a server was at our table within minutes. Kim was our server and she was attentive, friendly and quick. The food was served hot and delicious. We all ordered something different and everything was full of flavor. My spouse decided to go with the special iced coffee of the day--chocolate covered banana--IT WAS AMAZING!!! Whoever is running this place has figured out the perfect blend of service, food, portions & pricing. The only thing that was a little surprising was that this place has no kid menu. I wouldn't expect a big selection for a kids menu but with this place its just non existing. I have a 10 year old so it wasn't too bad, just not sure how that would work for parents with younger children. Needless to say I wished we lived closer so we could frequent this place more often. I would recommend Grumpy's to anyone looking for a great breakfast outing.
