Grumpy's Cafe is a fun and eclectic brunch spot that caters to visitors and locals alike. The eatery is decorated with regional art and complimented with bright colors. They do still have clear partitions to provide some separation between guest which I think patrons appreciate. The staff was great. I appreciated the interaction they had with as well as the guests around me. Cleveland Burger week enticed me to make my first visit to Grumpy's. They offered a burger topped with pulled pork, bacon, and a slice of pineapple. I thought this was a unique combination but was leary of how all the flavors would meld together. I was pleasantly surprised how each topping complimented the other. The spice of the pulled pork was balanced by the sweetness and slight crunch of pineapple while the bacon added a little punch of salt. I have to say that the topping as what make this burger. Unfortunately Grumpy's uses a preformed (likely frozen) patty for the burger. It's oblong shape created voids in the bun. The was cooked through out and juices spilled with each bite. The bacon was also undercooked and floppy. I'm not picky about my bacon, but it did feel a tad bit underdone. If you like crispy bacon, be sure to request it. I also order a side of their Cajun home fries and a cold brew coffee to drink. The cold brew was good and complimented the meal well. The cold brew wasn't particularly smooth, but it wasn't bitter either. The potatoes however were fabulous and we're actually the highlight of the meal. They were nicely cooked on the inside and had that wonderful buttery crunch on the edges. The Cajun seasoning was not over powering and brought a bright and yet another contrasting flavor to the plate. Definitely get the Cajun home fries. Overall I was happy with my visit to Grumpy's. I wouldn't say that I would visit Grumpy's specifically for a burger again, but based on the quality of the potatoes, cold brew, and the other menu items, I do look forward to a return visit for their breakfast fare. If you're local to the area, definitely stop by. If you're visiting I would put Grumpy's on...

My wife savored her Pulled Pork Boxty, a true signature favorite that delighted her palate with its house-marinated pulled pork on a potato pancake, slaw, cheddar, and a drizzle of chipotle BBQ.
My youngest daughter (11) relished the Meatloaf Melt, featuring Grumpy's meatloaf on house-baked grilled rye with Swiss cheese and a side of gravy—comfort food that warmed her heart.
