Title: Disappointing Experience at Little Italy Pizzeria
I recently had a rather unpleasant experience at Little Italy Pizzeria, a place I had heard so much about. Unfortunately, the service I received was far from satisfactory and left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately informed by the owner that the wait time would be 40 minutes. This was before I even had a chance to mention that I had placed an order online for pick-up. The owner's hasty assumption and lack of attention to detail were quite off-putting.
Furthermore, the owner seemed utterly confused about the concept of online orders. Despite the fact that my order was simple and straightforward, he struggled to comprehend it. This lack of understanding of modern ordering methods is a significant drawback in today's digital age.
What was even more disconcerting was the owner's attitude, which I perceived as discriminatory. It's hard to shake off the feeling that his behavior was influenced by prejudice. This is a serious allegation, and I don't make it lightly. However, the owner's demeanor and actions left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
In conclusion, my experience at Little Italy Pizzeria was far from the pleasant I was expecting. The poor customer service, coupled with the owner's apparent lack of understanding of online orders and his questionable attitude, left a lot to be desired. I would think twice before recommending this...
Read moreHands down the most rude staff I have ever encountered . Absolutely would never go to this place again. Their food isn't too bad, when they feel like actually serving you. Go anywhere else.
Edit: Been many months, tried this place again over the weekend. Different people working and STILL terrible service. Zero sense of urgency and a nonchalant attitude towards obvious mistakes. We placed an order, we were told 20 to 25 minutes. We showed up 29 minutes later to be told "ya, we got busy, probably another 20 minutes", no apologies no offer of anything like a beverage (not that I expect it, but usually restaurants offer up something low cost to make it look like they care at least 1% they messed up). We opted to not walk back where we came from and just turn around and come back, so we just stayed. After about 5 minutes of us standing off to the side out of the way we were told we could wait elsewhere like our being there was an extreme inconvenience. The fact the food is decent and the other place practically across the street only opens when the moon and planets are aligned just right has to be the only way this place has lasted. If anyone opened a pizza joint, mom and pop or chain, that had decent service and decent food, it would run this place outta business in weeks. Incredible to me any location that deals with the public would be so absolutely pathetic. I believe in second chances,...
Read moreI’ve had pizza all over the U.S. and Italy, and I think this was just about the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was crispy on the edges without being greasy, the sauce was homemade, light, and flavorful, and the gourmet sausage was perfect in every way possible. (They ran out of the regular sausage and serendipitously got the gourmet- it was INCREDIBLE) Fresh, flavorful cheese. Pizza is now officially ruined for me because we were just visiting Cleveland and it’ll be a while before we can come back. I don’t think I can go back to eating any other pizza. I’ve never even liked pizza very much before, but now it’s 8:30am and I’m fantasizing about having it again, trying to figure out when I can come to Cleveland again.
The young woman with the pony tail was so very kind, friendly, and helpful. Seemed like whatever customer service issues they had are in the past. We sat at the table by the window and enjoyed people watching. Although there seemed to be no air conditioning, we didn’t really mind. I’d love to see some outdoor seating here! They were out of gelato, which we would have gotten if it were available. But it’s a small restaurant and it is what it is! Presti’s was out of gelato too.
Worth the trip- even if it’s a 22 hour drive...
