At some time I gave LongHorn a 4 star rating. I would like to revise that rating to a 2 for the Cleveland TN LongHorn. At a dinner with my husband and two grandsons on Sunday night Jan. 26, 2020, we didn't have a good meal or experience. The waiter didn't come to our table for over 15 minutes to even acknowledge us. He acted like he was too busy to even wait on us when he did come. He brought our drinks and just slammed them on the table without a coaster and threw the straws as he walked away. I had asked for extra lemons for my tea.....the lemons were in the glass of tea and not on the side as requested. So therefore I had to dig into my tea to retrieve the lemon to flavor my tea. We ordered two apps. One for the grandson's to share and one for my husband and me. Before ordering I asked if I could get a salad made with only ice burg lettuce as I am still afraid of the romaine lettuce and he said yes. My husband also ordered the same salad. When they came they were made with really past fresh lettuce and neither of us could eat the salads. They were completely bad. The apps were good and I have no complaints with those. When our steaks came my grandson started to use his steak knife and it was very dirty so he had to wait a long time for the waiter to return and then wait again a long time for the knife to be replaced. My baked potato was rotten and had to be returned. My grandson's steak was so tough he couldn't cut it after he finally got a clean knife. Our drinks were not refilled promptly and some not at all. Drinks are 2.99 so you would like to have a refill. I know this is long but to be out for a rare dinner with grandsons, I would have liked to have had a better experience for them. Long before we had finished our entrees, the waiter brought the check and plopped it on the table without asking if we wanted dessert or to go boxes or without saying anything at all. We asked for boxes and then had to ask for a bag to put them in. This was the worst waiter we have experienced in a long time. Other than the waiter and food, the restaurant was not clean and didn't do anything to improve my appetite as there was greasy gunk on the lamp and wall by my seat. The table was also greasy. I won't even mention the dirty floor. I will stick to Outback next time and mark LongHorn off our list. I hope to never go back to...
Read moreMy daughter and I joined my mother for lunch at this location during a day of Christmas shopping. My mother wanted to treat my daughter and I, and as she is on a very fixed income we ordered accordingly, each choosing the most economical steak, the 6 oz Renegade sirloin. I had the same cut two nights prior when there with a friend, and it was tender and delicious then. The steaks we received today were seasoned and cooked well, but were so tough I had to cut my mother's for her and I struggled myself. We might have complained to our waiter, but we never saw him again after receiving the food until long after we had finished the meal, and had to request our check. Near the end of our meal the manager on duty came by and asked if we were enjoying it. My mother remarked that it all tasted very good, but commented on the toughness of the steak, at which point the manager asked what cut we had chosen. When we advised it was the Renegade she made a face, snarling her nose, and unconcerned over our experience remarked something along the lines of "Yea, that's usually the case with that one. It's not a really good cut. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. I would normally suggest our Flo's filet" and went on to tell us how good it is. I then remarked on how tender mine had been a couple nights before, and in a surprised manner she stated, "Really? That's usually not the case with the Renegade". I can understand promoting a more expensive cut, but at the same time acknowledging that another menu item is so bad, while acting so unconcerned, baffled my understanding of good customer service. It really seemed like bad form on the part of the manager, and we all agreed we would not be returning any time soon. I may miss the awesome bread and fried pickles, but we went for the steak, and we will enjoy a better steak somewhere else next time. Too bad the menu didn't describe the Renegade in the same way the manager did, or we would have probably made a different choice, and hopefully enjoyed our meal in the way we expected by choosing Longhorn's in the first place for our special day together. Now the most mememorable and remarked on part of the day will likely be the bad lunch and attitude of...
Read moreIt was a nightmare. We took my 86 yr. Old mother in law, 92 year old aunt and her 8 year old friend to eat lunch. It was around 12:30 when we arrived on Saturday July 2nd. The restaurant wasn't that busy when we arrived and we had a young male server. We ordered water, tea and basic food. 3 meals were hamburgers, 1 meal was chicken fingers and 1 meal was loaded potato soup. We waited and waited while watching the restaurant get busy and people that came in after us were served their food. My 92 year old aunt was so fatigued and hungry and wanted to leave after 48 minutes. I finally got up and asked our server Wher the food was and his answer was that it was coming. I demanded to speak to the manager who was helping on the grill/food line. She assured me that the food was coming soon. When they brought it put 5 minutes later, the fries were not hot and the burgers didn't look right. My burger was supposed to be cooked medium and it was literally raw meat in the middle. I almost got sick when I bit into it and promptly pointed out the crisis serving me raw meat! My husband's burger only had cheese and no lettuce, onion or pickle as it was supposed to be served. I was fuming at this point and informed them that All meals would be on Loghorn and I was disgusted. They assured me that it would be taken care of and also offered a gift card. However, I live in Charlotte,NC and this is in Cleveland, TN and we were visiting my elderly aunt. The whole situation can best be summed up as a disaster and the manager said to call an let her know when we were coming ahead of time next visit. That won't be happening. I'm still angry that they clearly lost or didn't process our order and that they are full of excuses. It doemake the experience any better and Longhoris off the list of future dining for us...
