With driving all over the country I usually try to stop in Waffle Houses more so than other places for the friendliness and food. For the first time in 23 states, I have found the worst one ever. Usually there is a hello, then someone asking what would you like to drink. Not at this one. At 4:30 am there were 3 screaming brats sitting in the booth next to the counter, strike one. No one said anything. A black server, in uniform, was sitting at the counter along with a white server. The white server was talking about her tips she made, the black server was writing something and putting in a to go order. No one, especially customers, wants or needs to hear about your tips. Very rude. Strike two. Some guy named Joe was leaving. The server I had was more interested in the woman with the 3 young screaming brats than taking my order. I was the only other customer there. Strike three. Before asking about my beverage the male server brought out a mop bucket and then took my beverage order. No hand washing either. Strike four. Gross. After over 7 minutes he finally asked what I wanted to drink, I told him coffee. Got the coffee 3/4 full and creamers I didn't ask for. Coffee was not fresh at all. The server finally came back and took my order. The older female cook threatened to beat him up if she had to go back into her cooler for anything he forgot to tell her about pulling meat. I ordered hash browns that were suppose to have country gravy on it which is usually thick and more than a spoonful. What I got was soup with chunks of sausage in it. My food was completely soaked in water. My toast ended up soggy, my hash browns were soggy and so were the scrambled eggs. I tried to ask twice is the gravy suppose to be soupy and got a smartass comment from the female cook. "I didn't have time to make any, he should never have served it to you." Nice response. Rude to the hilt. I have never had such rude service from a Waffle House before and was quite pissed at this place. I will be putting this store in my blog and warning people to never go there. They are completely unprofessional, nasty and rude. You all need lesson's in customer service. I should have gone to Denny's instead. Next...
Read moreI went to this Waffle House today on my (30 mins) lunch break. I attempted to call ahead and order, but no one answered and the voicemail said this location is not currently accepting call in to-go orders. I get to the location and see a big poster in the window advertising calling ahead to place your to-go order and save time. I ask the waitress and she states she heard the phone, but they were busy at the time. I place my order for the "All American Special" with bacon and chunked hashbrowns. The waitress advises me she will call out my order when the cooks are less busy. I say ok and step aside. I look around and see that there are 3 waitresses and 2 cooks working and there are only 4 tables in use. About 5-7 mins after I place my order, a gentleman comes in to place his order. I see the same waitress still holding my ticket order in her hand and she then proceeds to call out the gentleman's order and still has not called out mine yet. Thinking it won't take long to cook my order, I say nothing. 15 mins later the gentleman that came in after me gets his food and leaves. Aggravation sets in. I stand there for another 10 mins listening to the waitress talk to the male cook about how busy they have been today. Then she tells me they are only waiting for my waffle to finish cooking. 5 mins later she tells me she's sorry, but she thought "He" had started my waffle but he hadn't and she just started it. By this time I'm really aggravated and my lunch break is over. I don't have time to go anywhere else so I continue to wait. I finally get my food and make the mad dash back to work only to discover they...
Read moreI went with a party of 7 on July 2, 2018 to the waffle house off of Paul Huff Parkway in Cleveland Tn.It was around 1:30 a.m. We walked in, the waitress, the only waitress...was ringing up a customer. The cook was sitting at the counter chit chatting with a buddy...the cook just looked at us like, what do you want..not one table or counter seat, had been cleaned...we stood for 10 minutes waiting to be seated...if there were any patrons in the place of understand a 10 minute wait ..but the friend and the one customer was all....well we finally get seated. And our orders taken....takes over 45 minutes to get our orders..they were not difficult orders..steak and eggs, cheese steak patty melts, a burger, 2 waffles and everyone had hash browns...we never received one of the waffles, and my patty melt ended being a Texas bacon patty melt instead of the cheese steak that I ordered...they put gravy on all the hash browns...I didn't order gravy...mine was supposed to be smothered with grilled onions..she started to take my order back, but I grabbed it from her...and said he'll no..I would like to eat within the next decade..so I just kept that order..the waitress and cook kept dropping dishes in the floor, the kitchen area was nasty, and the cook was just to busy chit chatting with his buddies to be bothered with doing his job...while we were there, a party of 4 walked in, and just turned around and walked out...never again will I go to this disgusting, rude place of business...I will go to Georgetown Rd.from now on....and no, I did not leave a tip...normally I'd leave $10 to $20...
