In the carnivorous carnival that is Shane's Rib Shack in Cleveland, Tennessee, the air is thick with the kind of smoky aroma that could resurrect a vegetarian. It's a place where the front door serves as a portal to a realm ruled by the almighty barbecue, and the first whiff of smoked ribs, chicken, and pork is a slap of welcome so potent, it's practically a rite of passage. The food here isn't just good; it's a masterclass in meaty transcendence. The ribs are a symphony of flavors, each bite a crescendo of smoky, saucy perfection. The chicken? It's like poultry that's been kissed by the gods of fire and flavor. And the pork—oh, the pork—it's as if each strand was hand-pulled by angels on a smoke break. But let's not overlook the dark horse of the menu—the humble hamburger. In a place where the barbecue is king, these burgers rise to the occasion, proving that even the supporting cast at Shane's is worthy of a standing ovation. Shane may hail from Georgia, but this Tennessee poet tips his hat to him. He's not just importing good barbecue; he's crafting a smoky love letter to the taste buds, a testament to the art of the grill that transcends state lines. So here's to Shane's Rib Shack, where every meal is a celebration of the South's smoky soul, and every visit is a reminder that when it comes to barbecue, there are no borders —only boundless,...
Read moreWill never understand why these companies hire doordash to do delivery for them, and then treat doordashers like we are an issue. I walked in, went to the counter where this guy looked me in the eyes but didn't say a word to me. Like just looked at me. I straight up said "oh you didn't say hi so I couldn't tell what you were wanting?" It was very weird. He didn't smile, he was cold, it was your typical "I hate doordashers interaction" which sucks that so many restaurants in Cleveland treat us so horribly as if they didn't sign up on the delivery site..... You don't have to use doordash.... anyway, My order was sitting behind them, the girl bagged it up and said to have a good day in a very condescending tone. They did not hide their disdain. They both had such a weird attitude that came over them the second they saw me with my phone out for doordash. It's disgusting they treat people this way. I am so used to restaurants treating me this way now doing doordash. It's exhausting. I grew up in this town. I'm not some random tourist??? My family eats here, we buy your sauces, and now never again. (OH and they also have us "sign" a receipt with a nasty pen that everyone else uses? I shouldn't have to sign anything as a...
Read moreEdit: after speaking with the owner of the store, Mike, I’m confident to the ethics and integrity that he represents for his restaurant and staff. I also believe that he will address this incident and this review should not be an indicator to not eat at our local Shane’s Rib Shack. The owner recognizes the importance of how we treat others and in making sure his restaurant exemplifies that.
We have enjoyed the food. But recently, my teenage child had a terrible experience when she was in the restaurant by herself with the workers and they spoke about her as she was standing there, including the cooks in the back, using her full name, to announce who’s order it was! She heard their commentary and gestures coming from the back of the house to the front of the house regarding her. She had recently been coming by on a somewhat regular basis and are unsure to why they singled her out. It was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Due to this unprofessional behavior, we will never eat here again. I would love for a manager to reach out to me directly to...
