It has its pros and cons. I got the gyro and it was quite satisfying but on the other hand it came with Lay's potato chips... I found that very odd, I was under the impression it was supposed to be a Mediterranean restaurant. It still tasted good it just wasn't what I was expecting. The next thing is that I really feel like taziki's can't decide what style of dining they are. It's a seat yourself, and walk up to order ( they don't even have menus. Just two very small ones right by the register) yet at the same time the cashier ask how much you'd like to tip, And they walk up and see if you're enjoying your meal, and you leave the table dirty for them to clean... I found this quite perplexing as well. {They can't even decide what style of decor they want to stick with!!!} They're not fine dining they're not casual dining nor are they fast food..... What are they??? But like I said before the food is good. One last thing It's quite disgusting if you're squeamish but the salt shaker looked like it had never been cleaned, it has a thick build up of salt on top and there was a hair where the salt comes out of... Now I don't know about you but I don't enjoy eating other people's hair! I rated it a four-star because like I said the food is good but the chances of me coming back aren't very high.
Covid-19 pandemic disclosure: •••••There is a great outdoor patio! Where you can eat enjoy the outside and still take a measure of safety precautions!•••• None of the staff wore their mask And it is not required for others to wear their mask into the building. For those of you who have not yet had your vaccine it can be a little nerve-racking because the tables are not 6 ft apart either, putting you at semi-high risk.
So if you enjoy eating all American food with a slight Mediterranean twist, possibly getting hairs in your food, or not getting protected by the covid-19 pandemic then this is the...
Read moreCAUTION IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES OR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS! We recently tried Taziki's again after avoiding it for about a year since this location had always gotten our to-go orders wrong, and was usually 15-20 minutes late in having them ready. With this recent order, we were clear about avoiding dairy, checked off the dairy allergy option, and requested no feta cheese in our mediterranean salads. Yet when we opened up one of our veggie feasts, there were tiny bits of feta cheese, suggesting that the maker had forgotten, and simply removed the biggest chunks of feta. rather than making us a fresh, non-allergenic salad. We ordered all vegan foods, but found tiny bits of grilled chicken in our grilled vegetables. It was ridiculous.
We really wanted to give Taziki's another chance, but this was terrible. Service is sorely lacking. We've asked if kids can get a vegan kids meal, like get grilled veggies or falafel instead of chicken, but were told they can pay more by ordering vegan sides separately, but they won't make us a vegan kids meal at the kids meal price. We have emailed the restaurant and owner for help with vegan kids meals but have received no response after several days.
Perhaps to make matters worse, their food is not as healthy as we once thought. If you go to their website to look at the interactive nutrition calculator, the ingredients are listed for each of their foods. I was surprised to discover that Taziki's doesn't use extra virgin olive oil. Instead, they use a canola oil dominant blend with olive oil mixed in. They also use corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup in some of their recipes, butter where you wouldn't expect it, and even preservatives like potassium sorbate. The ingredients lists are much more highly processed than I ever imagined based on their marketing. It's a shame we can't get real, genuinely healthy mediterranean food here...
Read moreMy family (party of 6) ate here yesterday and were thrilled with the food. However, I feel compelled to share the way we felt and hopefully this restaurant looks a little closer at the service their young staff are offering. So this restaurant closes at 9pm and we walked in at about 8:30- that was our first mistake. We walked in and no one bothered to greet or acknowledge us. Instead, they saw us and the young blonde girl at the counter looked uninterested and annoyed that we were there to give them business which allows her to keep her job. She didn’t engage into any conversation until I asked about the menus. When I finally got our order worked out my husband went to pay for it and she stretched her neck as far forward as she could to see in the screen if he was leaving a tip or not. Then my MIL paid for her order and she did the same when the tip section came up. We went to sit and were told the fountain drinks (self serve) would close at 9:00 and to make sure we had our drinks by then. Then, when I was getting our drinks I hear her say “no tip” to whoever she was talking to at the back. Ha! Here’s a tip for ya, brush and floss your teeth daily, and oh yeah, while you’re at it, make sure you don’t have a sour face when...
