We were here last Friday night to hear Furious George sing and play his very diverse music set. He plays by request and provides a playlist for customers to choose songs for him to play. It was very busy this night with a large birthday party taking up a good half of the space. And then the rest of the space was a mix of the "regular" crowd along with their acompaning fur babies. I myself left my two at home this night as I wouldn't have had any help with them! They were all well behaved, except a few owners didn't seem to follow the leash rule. Several pups were wandering around on their own. It's always the humans....LOL. The crowd around the bar was a tad tight so it wasn't too easy to get drinks. So I am not a beer drinker but I had read on line about some of the beers. I liked the description of Lupo and tried it. I did like the fruity and flowery notes and it had a interesting flavor at the end. It reminded me of something else that grows in Washington State! Once the crowd got into the music and started to request songs it was a party! Even the dogs liked the music. I think they were glad to be out and not left at home alone. There was a food truck outside and we did have some of the soup they had, very good. The vibe inside is cool and even though I will drink something else I will come back. I want to bring my "kids" to one of the brunches for sure soon. It was nice to be somewhere that allows dogs. I will also recommend this venue to others who like to drink fine beers and visit unique locations and bring their...
Read moreI need to precursor this review by stating that, if we removed the food element of todays experience, I’d happily give 5 stars. I’m a huge fan of this spot and think the environment and the beverages they offer within it are phenomenal. Great concept. Great service. Great vibe. And up until recently, great food options offered over weekends. However… following the recently change in lead chef, I am saddened to state that the quality of food has downgraded astronomically. Truly disappointing, as this place was at one time renowned for its brunch experience. Following our lunch today on their patio, myself along with partner and his mother whom was visiting from across country all came to the conclusion that our meals simply were not good. Bland burgers, flavorless and rubbery gnocchi, and the single worst pretzel and beer cheese appetizer I ever had. I am not exaggerating that statement, which is truly a let down. And for that price?… For that? Come on now. These brunches used to be more than great, they were truly a culinary experience. In the words of my partner, todays meal was on par with something that we could’ve made in our own kitchen if not slightly less impressive. I write this review in hopes that, with some acknowledgements regarding these issues and efforts established to address this fall from grace, this stunning venue can resurrect themselves. I mean, knowing that they are working to expand their venue and open a full operating restaurant in the coming year, I truly don’t think they have...
Read moreWe’ve been going to Terrestrial for quite awhile, but the customer service during our last visit left much to be desired.
We went on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks back. Got on the waitlist and were told by the host/server who took our name that the wait would be 30-45 minutes, possibly sooner, and to check back in a half hour.
Fast forward to thirty minutes later, and we head back inside to check on the status of the waitlist, and the dude that originally took our name snapped at us and literally said “I told you 45 minutes so it’s going to be 45 minutes”.
Now, as someone who worked in the service industry for years, I’m loathe to criticize, since I’m well aware of the challenges, but you can’t be rude to your customers. If you can’t be civil then it’s time to get out of the industry.
We were so turned off by that experience that we left and haven’t been back. There are plenty of other great breweries in the area, with much better...
