Update 4/26 - I came back to Made in Miami to celebrate my birthday. I celebrated with a party of 7. We did the brunch bottomless option. The food was delicious as it was last time I went. Everyone liked what they got. The waiter kept the drinks flowing, we never had a problem getting refills. I also ordered a bottle of casamigos which they brought out with the sign and the lights, it was cute. Had an overall great time.
I want to give a special thank you to the staff at Made in Miami for their service. Thanks to them I had an amazing birthday experience. Special thank you to Kell for handling the music after the second DJ did not arrive. After the first DJ left the music turned into elevator music and dimmed the party drastically. We tried to speak with the owner but he didn’t care. Kell thankfully took matters into his own hands and changed the music to party music. The owner on the other hand was rude and dismissive and did not care whether we were having a good time. If it wasn’t for the staff my birthday experience would have been diminished.
I would suggest for anyone looking to have their birthday here to go early since apparently they don’t always have a second DJ. We arrived at 5pm. If you’re going to go later probably check beforehand to see if Kell is working because the owner definitely won’t care if your party is having a good time.
4/19 - Went here for the first time Saturday for brunch at 5pm and had a great time. The food was delicious and came out hot. I got the Canoa Vieja and my friend got the Miami skillet melt. The service was nice and the servers kept our glasses filled with rum punch. The DJ was fantastic, he played a variety of music and had everyone up dancing! Definitely will be back for brunch again. They had free parking in a lot across the street. The venue was nicely decorated. My only con would be that the music was too loud. I was shouting at my friend to have a conversation. I think the DJ could have turned the music down about two notches so people could still have conversations with each other...
Read moreI’ve written a review about 2 times in my lifetime and I feel I must do so with the experience I had yesterday evening (Wednesday). You never know who you’re serving, which shouldn’t matter, All should be handled the same for I haven’t had many experiences like this with a restaurant. The service was very poor, should I say for me last night. I came by myself, my to go order came 40 min later where as they forgot to put my actual food order in I waited 20 more min to see if it was to come when I realize the restaurant only had 4 tables and every worker looked relax that’s when I knew my order was never put in. I had to then go to the bar to request my drink order for no one came to check up on my table since I initially arrived. I brought it to both managers and a worker in regards to my food not being sent because every person I spoke to never came back with any information and then tried to charge me full price instead of happy hour because now it’s after happy hour and I assume there mistake became mine. Normally I would’ve left and not allow them to make my order but I wanted to see how the staff and managers would handle the situation or accommodate it. Instead, nobody still came to check up on me (remember the restaurant is about 4 tables busy) and no accommodation was made. I had to hound workers down for to go platters and bags. But, my check was brought immediately with extra charges. I express the service with the manager (Bernice) who told me “I’m sorry, the next time you come ask for me a drink is on me”.. 😒 I tried coming on a Wednesday for my first experience to get the real feel of the restaurant on a not so busy day and it was an epic fail. Service was beyond a 1 star and I assume maybe because I was by myself(which didn’t matter they made sure gratuity was added) which shows me the integrity of this business as I myself is a business owner. Unacceptable. I came to scope the scenery and try this out for others and I can’t say I would recommend...
Read moreThis place is seriously overhyped. Visited Saturday & it was darn near completely empty inside and very smaller than expected. WE were greeted politely and seated quickly by the host , which was a good start. The waitress then came over to take the order, from the late night menu we got Wings and fries were ordered just to be safe.
The fries were actually good, but the wings were fatty and not enjoyable. The “Only Fans” drink listed on the menu tasted like syrup water , not worth it at all , just incredible sweet. My man had the “We outside “ he rate it 6/10.
After the food was served, the service dropped off. The server did not return to check in, and no ketchup or napkins were provided. We satt there had to wait around just to get basic condiments or else we would choke lmao, with the dry food . Disappointing, especially given how empty the place was.
At one point, a staff member was walking around taking photos , When asked to see the photos, she was very dismissive ! Lmao no friendliness, no customer service attitude at all. She went ahead and printed the pictures without even showing them first. Joke on you sis !! The photos were then printed , framed and offered for $20 each. That makes no sense, especially when there was no opportunity to approve or retake them. A total joke.
Once ready to leave, the server was nowhere to be found, busy talking to the DJ instead of attending to guests. It took some time before she was spotted again to let her know it was time to close out.
The prices were reasonable, but the overall experience was lacking. It’s not worth sacrificing good food and customer service just because the place is cheap. The bill came to around 60 dollars, and although an eight dollar tip was left, better service would’ve earned more. Subpar...
