On 11/24 I ordered beer and pizza at the bar. The waitress was very attentive and the food was good. I signed for the purchase and on my way out past the desert case. There were two men standing in front of the case partially blocking it carrying on a conversation. They were clearly employees because they had T-shirts with blast and brew printed. I stood there for what seemed like about five minutes waiting for someone to help me and these men kept talking to each other ignoring the fact that they were standing there. Finally one stepped forward and asked I need help. I mentioned that I wanted to know if any of the desserts had lemon flavoring, my wife’s favorite. He pointed to one and said this one does, it is a lemon Italian cake. He asked if I wanted to get a slice and I said yes. So he went behind the counter pulled out a slice and put it in a bag and pointed to the register at the front saying they would cash me out there. When I got to the register I was shocked to find out that little slice was $14. They were 12 slices in that cake. I was surprised but purchased it anyway. On the way home it bothered me that I didn’t mention anything about the price or lack of service. So I called and asked to speak with the manager and the manager came to the phone who is the one standing in front of the case Chatting with the other employee. I said you mean to tell me that cake with a slice of $14 which would mean the cake itself was $168 was really what they were asking for? His reply was that the owners set the price. I told him I was very disappointed that no one bothered to ask me if I wanted help. His reply was he thought someone was taking care of me. I said how could I be so when you stood in front of the case with me in full vision and you saw no one approach me. When I got home and shared the cake with my wife she said she couldn’t taste any lemon at all and it was dry. So not only did I pay for an outlandish price on the cake but it was a major disappointment. I would certainly not...

Great atmosphere/service/location! We ordered sweet potato fries, the bruschetta pasta bowl, and the margherita pizza and they all came out relatively quickly. We didn’t try the extensive beer taps, but they were readily available, should we want to. Fries- crunchy and soft in the middle, overall very nice, texture-wise. The arugula aioli has a lot of punch and is super garlicky and peppery. We added ketchup for a bit of tang. Pizza- GREAT crust! Great flavor to the bread and beautiful gluten- chewy and delicious. The sauce was sweet, salty, and tangy with the cheese. The large slices of tomato, which my wife tells me are traditional, we okay. I tried to chew through them as quick as possible because I don’t enjoy the mushy texture. The pizza was our favorite part of the meal, as the pasta bowl was a little bland. Bowl- my wife found this dish very bland. When I tasted it, it seemed like a simple butter sauce with the roasted tomatoes, spinach, and basil added to it. None of the ingredients really stood out so it all tasted vaguely of spinach. It just didn’t have any punch to it. It needed lemon or something to life the sauce or possibly some Gorgonzola or feta for tang. Overall- great...

I am very disappointed in this place. We went in and it was going to be about an hour wait I just wanted a drink while I waited for my table since it was going to be an hour there was a couple of chairs open at the bar I told the lady I was going to just sit and get a beer that was not accepted she said if I sat at the bar I would get kicked out of line for a table I thought that was pretty rude. Waitress was nice but when we went to pay she charged us wrong I didn't even notice it untill my family pointed it out that she has charged me 20 dollars extra. We told her she counted out the money she was wrong and fixed it. Simple but when I had signed my receipt I had forgotten to write anything in the tip area because I wasnt going to tip afterall and someone in that restaurant wrote an arrow from the total to the tip making it seem like I was giving them a tip so I got charged double the amount lol just be careful here and cautious for how much you get charged. Food...

I was in Old Town Clovis, and wanted to just pop my head into Blast & Brew, and see what it looked like. I was greeted by Noah (so cheerful and helpful), who invited me to just poke around, look at menus and take my time. Then came Collin, and guess what: the same cheerful, engaging hospitality, inviting me to get a good feel for the place. In the end, I decided to just sit down and have a half-glass of a delicious Double IPA. If you look at the picture of my beer glass, you'll be able to tell if I enjoyed it or not! Really looking forward to going back again soon, with my wife, to sit down and enjoy some food. A big THANK YOU to Noah and Collin for being so hospital. You won another customer today!!
